Neera Tanden is a corp shill who’s entire political career has been trying to prevent a second coming of new deal democrats to safeguard her rich donor friends.

Hasan Piker is right. Germans abroad were used as a human shield when pro Nazis defended Germany against war crime accusations by saying the accusers are just biased against Germans. This is what pro Israelis are doing. It increased anti German sentiment and it increases antisemitic extremism.

Israel is a terrorist nation, that has killed more people, including the actions of its bully big brother the U.S., in terroristic actions than any middle eastern terrorist group in the modern era.

Electoral democracy creates a class of people who corrupt it and those willing to take the money to get into office. It is the most undemocratic way to choose representatives. A sortition based selection system where the chosen is law bound to vote with their constituents is less corruptible.

We can look to forms of consensus based direct democracy for inspiration on the local level. At the national level electoral democracy leads to demagogues like Trump. Sortition/jury duty like random selection is the most democratic. We can govern our own affairs in peace. We already run everything

Money is the weapon of the rich to force everyone to submit for what they and their families need to survive. Freedom can’t come from government designed to place fat rich philosopher kings above everyone else. Freedom comes from caring. Moms, nurses, janitors, care so we are free to live.
Kandiaronk: I have spent six years reflecting on the state of European society and I still can’t think of a single way they act that’s not inhuman, and I genuinely think this can only be the case, as long as you stick to your distinctions of ‘mine’ and ‘thine’. I affirm that what you call money is the devil of devils; the tyrant of the French, the source of all evils; the bane of souls and slaughterhouse of the living. To imagine one can live in the country of money and preserve one’s soul is like imagining one could preserve one’s life at the bottom of a lake.

Personal freedom to not be under the control of people with power over you screams out for acknowledgement in all of us in 1,000 different ways. This desire to live without some rich bastard holding our food, shelter or loved ones over our head to coerce labor is the most human thing we can think of

Our gov derives its authority from the people. Those people are long dead. We are therefore not free and couldn’t be under this gov. Not only that but when people did and do try to stop the rich from taking our livelihoods we are beaten, jailed, or worse. Real democracy for everyone is possible.

The U.S. was always a country corrupted by the rich while the people who did the actual work got shafted. Thats how it’s been. But it is not the only way we can organize society. The founders feared real democracy because they wanted power over others. Thinking themselves wise parents to dumb kids

The infantry vets of the revolutionary war risked everything and their reward was speculators buying their small farms and destroying their lives. This was at the direction of the rich founding pricks. Shays rebellion was about blocking creditors through occupation. 4 were killed for this “crime”.

It’s important to know the stakes. The U.S. constitution doesn’t mention democracy once. The bill of rights wasn’t even in the original document. The founders feared the people. Yet the idea that average people can’t manage our own affairs is infantilizing. The founders were rich pricks.

A long thread. But I wanted to understand why our society is so committed to work that 1/3rd of the time is meaningless bureaucratic nonsense. Another 1/3rd actively harms people. And the last third is people cleaning up the first 2/3rds’ mess. Tyranny backed by violence founded the United States.

Electoral democracy leads to what we have now. A class of people who must become corrupt to run for office or blow up on social media and get small dollar donations. Changing to sortition like jury duty would solve a lot of problems. Current system just doesn’t work economically, or politically.

No I don’t blame Obama. He ran the country as an 80s moderate republican he admitted and might’ve been killed for anything more. We’re still stuck with Trump because the corrupt Inst. still exist, war criminals run free, and no hope/change came in stopping the rampant bribery/corruption.

This idea that Americans are vacillating centrists came from young people voting in record numbers for Obama, he then conserved all the corrupt institutions, then lost 2010 from depressed youth turnout.

Centrism is just this bullshit. Don’t listen to someone like @centrismfanacct.bsky.social

He’s railing against a MAGA first generation immigrant voter who’s voting to destroy their own lives cuz they bought the “we’ll arrest only the bad illegals” line. People shouldn’t listen to someone so full of shit…

No
We have many years of Platner's (anonymous! sometimes embarrassingly unfiltered!) Reddit history, and there isn't one single hint of antisemitic or pro-Nazi sympathies.

Anyone who tells you he's an "honest-to-God Nazi" is either extraordinarily dim or lying through their teeth.

The reason for most of the division in the country is because the government only works for rich people. People less aware of this fact scapegoat groups they already dislike.

Yeah evidence exists and your claims exist in the same reality so we can reference both without you trying to provide any.

I’m not from Maine either just like you. I just don’t see the evidence that you’re maligning this person for. Now you’re getting emotional from a personal grief you recently just experienced. Maybe log off?

There’s no evidence for what you’re claiming and that’s what the person you’re responding to is fleshing out.

Calling for the federal government to stop democracy is what people are mad at Trump about for the midterms. It’s wild they don’t see that.

Shire resident @securetheshire.com · 10/03/2026
I don’t look up every depiction of a skull and crossbones that is infinitely more obscure than the swastika and neither did Planter. This appeal to authority to stop the will of the people is anti democratic no matter how you slice it.

No they don’t. My grandfather fought in the battle of the bulge and didn’t know of that symbol. It’s obscure.

This here is the danger. It’s not that the left will make some future centrist lose. It’s that the party’s donors, that the Dem leadership listen to more than anyone else, threatened fascism to avoid paying 1960 effective tax rates. Dem leaders need canned. www.ft.com/content/b896...

There was a case of bankers striking in 1970s Ireland. The people just used checks in place of money and the bankers went back to work lol.

Fungi are the base and core of the ecosystem. We want humanity to last? We have to make our society resemble nature. At the core it must upcycle wastes and design things to break down naturally. We must become fun guys and make this world fun for our kids. No more dangerous chemicals.

There’s this relationship with value and values. When people do jobs that are more socially valuable, say a janitor or teacher, the less their salary. The people with the least societal value are paid vast fortunes like hedge fund managers and ceos. CEOs don’t strike because they’re unneeded

People really don’t get how the whims of the rich have stolen time and money from them. We could’ve automated most office and manual labor. A 15hr workweek is possible with a higher standard of living if we invested in the technology to do that as a society. The economy is planned now.

I agree Dems have been better on working rights. I advocate for voting Democratic. There just needs to be more criticism of Dems not doing enough.

Shire resident @securetheshire.com · 26/11/2025
If Dems had a long track record of doing bold things to help the majority of people who work, Trump would not be in office.

I’m sorry this whole “never criticize Dems cuz party unity” is such bullshit. Schumer is a spineless cretin. Him and Jeffries are the reason why there’s been zero consistent messaging, zero vision. They’re sending strongly worded letters to Trump who can barely read his own teleprompter…
