His legislation, C-2 - C-39, directly (most of them) & indirectly serve corporate interests. Many are authoritarian, allowing for legalized mass surveillance for on, in order to proceed w/ his fossil fuel expansion plans w/o interference. Yes the band plays on.

Definitely. I phrased it poorly. Everything #CorporateCarney does is intentional. He's not a stupid man. He just doesn't care. I maintain the only reason he ran was to further Brookfield interests, & by extension his. How can a PM get performance pay from what he did as PM to increase stock value?

7/7 Although Mexico does not have formalized UBI, it has massive, wide-reaching targeted cash transfer & social welfare programs, mechanisms similar to UBI that function similarly to a guaranteed income for vulnerable groups. Mexico invests in people, Canada & the US invests in greed.

6/7 Labour makes the world go round, not the executive class. Strong social safety nets as well as investment into family life pays off. Tech should have brought wealth redistribution, not a concentration of wealth flowing upwards.

5/7 Tech and global growth were meant to ease toil and share wealth. Instead, gains concentrated at the top while worker strain grew, raising the question: should society prioritize human well-being or endless accumulation? In terms of economic and social costs in North America is immense.

4/7 We have more stress, fracturing of families & addiction rates than in Mexico. It also ranks significantly higher on the happy index regardless of cartels, turf wars, high homicide rates & lower standards of living. Strong social safety nets & a focus on family drives their happiness. .

3/7 The idea that labour has less worth than to the slave masters deserve less is a sad testament to our values. Employees in fast-food restaurants, factories, service & retail work harder than the executive class. Globalization & automation made them wealthier, while we lost ground.

2/7 Why advance society when all of the benefit flows upwards? Job sharing, shortened work weeks, mandatory sabbaticals, job sharing and Intermissions from work w/o reduction of wages should have shared the newfound profits & UBI should have been a result of automation.

1/7 Mike, sorry for the length. The promise of the digital revolution was to ease the burden on labour, but the increase in profits failed to improve the circumstances of labourers. No one should be willing to live in a world where a large segment of society can’t afford the cost of life.

I made a new poster. It's the same in BC w/ NDP Premier David Eby. Subsidies to foreign corporations, disregard for indigenous rights, cuts to public service & programs ... My husband is in RIH (hospital). The staff works double time. It's idiotic, because it ends costing so much more.
