The black and gold one is from Japan too! It has a saucer as well but I have to find it.

I’ve been invited to a tea party birthday party tomorrow. Invite says to bring my favorite tea cup. I have many pretty ones. I can’t decide! What one do you think? The Japanese ones are from when my parents lived in Japan before I was born.

Two of the books my husband got me for my birthday. He knows me well. Plus a book to read together and a great little journal.

It’s my birthday! 43! One more year closer to the dream of being an old lady in the woods that gives quests to adventurers.

Today is Sugar’s birthday. She would have been 12. It’s only been 2 months since she passed and I miss her terribly.

I really love my neighbors. We have created such a nice community. My one neighbor got me a plant for my garden after the landscapers destroyed mine. Another just brought me a carnation bc I’ve been sad. 🥰

One of my favorite flowers in my garden. It’s such an amazing blue. This stem broke off in the storm yesterday.

It is! She was so happy. Everyone kept stopping to pet her and she loved it.

Sugar’s friend Desi stopped by today. After this picture they cuddled on the floor cushion together. Besties.

Took my nephew to get his first skateboard and set him up. I took his brother years ago, and he asked to do the same. Here’s an obligatory Sugar on the skateboard pic.

Unfortunately, bad news for my Sugar. The tumor is attached to connective tissue so surgery isn’t an option. Sugar has at most 6 months. We are going to make her as happy and comfortable until it’s time.

Thank you 🫂🫂🫂 she’s still her happy, usual self. I’m very glad she isn’t in any pain.

Sugar is home right now for palliative care. It’s really rough bc she’s not feeling sick. She still plays, eats, behaves completely normal. But she has two tumors and we could lose her at any moment. She is very happy to be home and did her usual prancing for a treat.

Husband loves Kingfisher. His favorite is the Paladin series. I’m happy I introduced him to her books.

They would get along with Sugar. She hates the rain and snow. She booked it back inside right after the pictures. She looked around like “what the hell is this?! I’m out!” At least she made it off the porch this time.
