Good to know I was always “like that”

Text message exchange from contact “mom” saying she found a picture, the picture is an abstract painting of orange “vines” on a bright blue background. Response says Huh, I don’t recognize that… kind of, I remember the left most part of it kind of, the darker one, maybe. Weird. Where did you find it?

Well I’ll make sure to buy two skeins of whatever yarn I buy next time

Two gray socks but the right one swaps to a dark red halfway down.

Marly Salazar @secant2.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

I guess a skein of yarn is only good for 1.5 socks.

A cable twist pattern sock on circular knitting needles, starts gray then transitions to maroon for the last 9 rows.

And then some socks

Coming along. Needed something chill to cap off a very busy week.

Gray diamond pattern sock approximately 13” long on knitting needles

Apply (well create from file, I really don’t wanna get into how complicated apply is behind the scenes)

Hell yeah

Had a real fun time at the Tillamook creamery lol

Table with a set of stuffed animals, a coffee mug, and a tall shot glass from the Tillamook dairy company. From the left to right, a stuffed mouse laying on a block of cheese, an anthropomorphized block of cheese with a big smile, a small stuffed cow with worry hair, a large stuffed cow with a neckerchief. The coffee mug is pink with a multicolored pattern, and the shot glass is orange with the Tillamook branding.

Finally have enough fun mugs to replace the wall of boring white mugs with some whimsy.

Hooks for 6 mugs with various colors and types.

Same wall of hooks with just plain white identical mugs

Yay found some of my stickers at my partner’s place so I can appropriately swag the new laptop.

MacBook Pro with a rectangular sticker in the top right corner. The sticker depicts an explosion hazard style warning icon with the various pride flags from the Microsoft open source pride flag.

Marly Salazar @secant2.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

I did not heed the warnings. I thought “surely this is just to make people who don’t hike semi regularly think twice.” Boy was I wrong.

A trail head with 4 large bright yellow warning signs that this trail is for experienced hikers only, and another traditional brown and yellow national parks-esque sign labeling the trail “wilderness trail, notice: for advanced hikers only”

Something something crossing bridges and new beginnings I dunno. All I know is that the original bridge for this crossing collapsed due to harmonic frequencies or something. My high school physics textbook made a big deal about it.

I lost yarn chicken. Guess this one is gonna have a different color foot than the leg lol

A sock in the process of being knit by hand. Just past the heel turn and the working yarn is less than a yard left.

Marly Salazar @secant2.bsky.social · 22/08/2026

If you think I’m gonna post about tech I’m terribly sorry this is a sock knitting account.

Blue and white sock, with self striping yarn that creates a bit of a cloud effect, and a yellow sun on the ankle.
