To all aviation journalists : can put that story in front on Air France, Lufthansa, etc. and ask them if their values coïncide with doing business with a company collaborating with Russia?

If you have the time, I definitely recommend you get a meal at the Narrows, and then pass by Dee Dee's Ice cream, and Ramblers for Coffee.

I am not a fan of Osaka either and agrees with much of your take. That being said, there are interesting things if you are into buddhism and Shinto: - Shitenno-ji is - Sumiyoshi Taisha shrine, which is a very old one with pre-buddhist architecture and a lots of Shinto rituals there

A graph showing number of Germanies over time. Losing one on October 3rd 1990 means by projection we are only decades before reaching -1 Germany in 2072

The photo does not show the coffee stains due to the turbulence we had until the pilot flying was authorized to change his flight level.

Little menu on board MUC-OSL. Interesting to have choices on a sub 2 hour flight for breakfast.

Overall good flight, smooth and pleasant. Except the cabin crew closed all blinds after lunch (but did not say anything when I reopened mine).

Here she is. Boarding very soon for the 12h flight back to MUC. It looks like a good day to flight, hopefully condition en route are just as good. This was an interesting trip to China but tiresome and actually, somewhat stressful due to the constant attention needed and sensory overload.

Definitely not possible. I am now in the lounge at PEK T3E. Took me 75 minutes to get there, the security process is bad on all aspects : queue management, layout, explanation, machines. Worst security I had done in years.

On my way to Peking Capital Airport, I depart from Terminal 3 but based on the screen on the express train there is an Air Koryo flight landing soon that will be docked at Terminal 2 for a couple of hours. Let see if I find a way to go see this plane.

I paid 210 euros for 4h20. First class seat is 65. Flying eco would also be 70 euros, business class would have been 200 euros. So comparable. But I can lie flat in the train. Train stations are often far from the downtown, sometimes as far as airports. Lounge better in airport, security in train.

Comfortable way to be at 350 km/h. Is it worth it ? It is quite expensive, even by western standards. For a short train no value. For a long one ? Well it depends can you afford it and whether flying Business instead makes more sense.

Today I am going back to Beijing from Xi'an. As a treat and to try I booked Business class on the high speed train, the highest class onboard china railway. It starts at the station with a dedicated entrance with fast track security bringing you straight to a lounge.

A first : a convenience store in Xi'an station sold bottled water replaced by tap water. I did not hear the click when removing the cap, took a small sip and it had a taste. Spit it out immediately. Ugh.

Travelled to Xi'an in second class High speed rail. Legroom as good as first class but much less shoulder space. Pingyao Station was actually human sized (but had a huge parking space with some weird statue).
