The legal landscape for game accessibility has changed. GPSR requires safety, EAA requires accessible comms & ecommerce. The deadlines are upon us, but many devs remain unaware. If you don't know about these laws yet, you need to! Info: igda-gasig.org/what-and-why... #gamedev #indiedev

Pleased with how this piece wrapped up. Had a lot of fun exploring using Gouache on wood like this. And the dark fantasy life study subject matter is something I know really want to play with more. Anyway that’s 1/5 kitchen renovation decor painting projects done. 💪

A circular Gouache painting on wooden birch slice. Depicting a small animal skull, green foliage and a white pumpkin on a black background.

The paintings sits n a wooden countertop.

Well it’s taken 18 months but I’m finally on the precipice of completing my 1780 mile walk to Mordor challenge with only 0.25miles to go. 🎉 Likely completed with evening dog trot later today. Final Patch reward is in my sights, and then I need to figure out where the heck I’m walking to next. 🤣

Screenshot from the Fantasy Hike App. Depicting a silhouettes of a small hobbit like character hike into a cave mouth with a flaming precipice just beyond.

Text reads: Day 535. 1779.96 miles. Mount Fire, Entering the chamber of fire.

Burnout is the worst in many ways, but last year it really crippled my usually very creative brain. It feels extremely good to be dusting off the cobwebs again. Under sketch and priming done. Next step is to crack the paints out and do some colour swatching to settle it on colour palette.

A circular slice of wood with raw bark edges has been primed with white gesso paint. On top of this is a rough pencil sketch of composition including an animal skull, a large pumpkin and leafy foliage.

Weekly dose of Husky silliness. River got a new ducky, she is so happy about it she’s had her tongue stuck out like this for nearly 30 mins. Every time I look at her I start laughing again. 😂 #justhuskythings #huskymama #sometimesiblep

River the black and white husky lies on top of her purple ducky stuffed toy, she looks mischievous and has her tongue poking out at the front of her mouth. Beneath her is a white fluffy blanket.

Thanks to all the folks who have added me here recently. Intended to engage here more regularly going forward forward since that other place is now a miserable cesspit. Looking forward to having great conversations about game dev, accessibility, art and design again going forward. 💖

Hello world, ever set up an account for something and then promptly forget the password and then entirely forget you even made a profile. Yep me too, I’ll chalk it up to adhd. 😂 🌶️

Rough end to the week. So finally rolling a character in Baldurs Gate 3 and living vicariously through her today was a much needed mental break.
