Sea.Sprocket @seasprocket.bsky.social · 13/08/2026An angry shoulder is the worst! Hugs. I suggest alternating between a bit of icing and heating. It's a hassle to do, but it's likely inflamed so using only heat won't be as effective. 120 0
Sea.Sprocket @seasprocket.bsky.social · 13/08/2026I played it a bit in the 90s. My (not too) spicy take is that the PC version was perhaps rushed. It had a tendency to crash randomly after playing a while. The controls/motion/combat was a bit clunky. The theming and art was cheesy but endearing. The music was suitably silly but also fantastic. 020 0

Sea.Sprocket @seasprocket.bsky.social · 26/07/2026A single data point from my experience: there's now so much more sexy content on here, and I follow new folks occasionally, that any one account is much more "diluted" on my feed. I can't always browse every day and catching up can take hours, so I do miss stuff. 010 0
Sea.Sprocket @seasprocket.bsky.social · 30/05/2026I love this album. Still listen to is a bunch, though I only came to it around '03. 000 0

Sea.Sprocket @seasprocket.bsky.social · 30/04/2026There was an article some months ago that showed many protein powders have troubling levels of lead. It varied a lot across them but almost all the pea protein ones had it, but none of the whey ones. I switched from pea to whey because that spooked me. Aparrently no lead testing/labeling required ☹️ 110 0

Sea.Sprocket @seasprocket.bsky.social · 05/01/2026Pushing oneself to give it a try is useful, as a learning exercise if nothing else. My few times to TBRU were all alone and I only made one or two acquaintances who I'd be pleased to say hi to again. Nothing deeper than that. Even so, it's felt easier to "belong" once I knew some folks there. 030 0
Sea.Sprocket @seasprocket.bsky.social · 24/12/2025I find adjusting is harder going west, but that could be confirmation bias. In either direction it's the staying awake until a "normal" time that's the main challenge for me. By evening, as soon as I'm not actively doing something my eyes get heavy. I've nodded off at the dinner table before. 000 0
Sea.Sprocket @seasprocket.bsky.social · 24/12/2025I've done a few trips to the UK, and South Africa. One to Japan. My strategy is to stay awake until 8/9pm in the new timezone (esp. hard if landing in the morning since I can't sleep on planes). I'll still wake up at ~4/5am and be bored. I'll stay up a later each night and be adjusted in ~4 days. 120 0

Sea.Sprocket @seasprocket.bsky.social · 05/11/2025Very cool - I've been curious about this one. Spoke to my clinic about it when it got approved but they didn't know about availability and logistics of supplying it yet at that time. Please let us know what your experience is with it! Reposted by Sea.SprocketCoach Gowron @coachgowron.com · 15/07/2025Calls for civility are often weaponized by abusers, by bigots, by those who would oppress you. If it is considered impolite to speak out against dishonor, then it is time for a true warrior to be rude. 8534202 0
Reposted by Sea.SprocketCoach Gowron @coachgowron.com · 12/06/2025A polite bigot is a bigot nonetheless. A true warrior knows that courteous words do not dilute the poison, but only serve to conceal it until it has spread. Civility in the service of hate deserves no polite response. 4974352 0

Sea.Sprocket @seasprocket.bsky.social · 24/08/2025Superman 3's ridiculous computer capture/transformation scene was very distressing to me at age 9. Also, Alien (which I saw at a too-young 10) left me with years-long heeby-jeebies about dark corridors at night. 110 0
Sea.Sprocket @seasprocket.bsky.social · 24/08/2025At Long Last Love. It's a silly musical with a rice paper plot (only there to stick together a set of Cole Porter songs) but the cast is a delight and the audio is from live singing on set, which lends a sincerity to things (even if it means the singing "isn't perfect"). 000 0

Sea.Sprocket @seasprocket.bsky.social · 28/06/2025I have one as well! Picked it up in 2008. Great set, but do note that it weighs a *lot*. Mine is 150lbs. Get one of your beefy friends to help you with it. 110 0
