We're through 5 of the 6 episodes of Below. What started out interesting has lost the plot a bit. It doesn't quite seem to know what it wants to be: Thriller, monster movie, horror show, drama, etc. It's all over the place. Finale tomorrow but sadly not vibing with it as much as I expected.

Wrapped up Carrie last night. Excellent series overall, and as he usually does, Flanagan demonstrated his talents with keeping the audience engaged throughout. The finale didn’t quite hit how I had hoped, but otherwise highly recommended! #Carrie

Only the finale left of Mike Flanagan’s Carrie series. So far it’s excellent. It’s a fresh take on the classic story, and given prior retellings it feels necessary to have a new view. Summer Howell as Carrie is a talent. Absolute fantastic performance and I’m excited for her wrath in the finale.

I hate to ever share anything from Twitter, but...this. It's nothing more than culture war bullshit. Gears has always had representation in all forms. It's part of why I love the franchise. #Xbox #GearsofWar

Don't put the Breechshot in my hands. I was SO close to going 8 for 8 headshots. Got 7 in a row and hit the body on the last one. 🫡 Side note: Gears E-Day multiplayer and Horde Siege is incredibly addicting and fun to play. #Xbox #GearsEDay

What I really love about Gears E-Day MP is between the movement, the weaponry, and the map design, it feels extremely well balanced already. All weapons are viable. And you don't have to Gnasher rush. In fact, it often gets you killed. That said...sometimes you need to kill a team in 5 seconds.🤘🏼

So I sadly see comments on social about the "controversy" that Gears of War E-Day features pride flags. If being inclusive is a "controversy" to you, you need to rethink your priorities. FFS

Had a great time with my friends at @thenerdchatpodcast.bsky.social last night and then, because I'm off of work today, stayed up till nearly 3am playing Gears E-Day multiplayer with some buddies. #Xbox #GearsEDay It's great to have a new Gears game. Like old times!

I love E-Day and I can't wait to spend tons of time in multiplayer and Horde. It also has a ton of customization/unlocks at launch which rocks. But perhaps one of the craziest misses I've seen, and people who know Gears will understand, is that they have country flag banners but NO MEXICO. HOW!?

This type of stuff angers me to no end. Many of us have worked REALLY hard to gain any sort of following. The few things I've personally received I cherish and have on display. I remember getting this PS5 plate set and controller for Enotria the Last Song and it's on a shelf next to my desk.

Telling you - if you want a serious horror game to play through as Halloween approaches, Visage is the one. It was more niche, but it has always stuck out as the one that first comes to mind when asked “what game freaked you out.”

Just left Resident Evil. Overall had a good time with it. Not as high as some others on it, but it was fun and gory. Had more laughs than I anticipated and Austin Abram’s kills it as the lead. It also had some funny nods to the franchise along the way. 👏🏻

Even after my early time with Onimusha I knew I was gonna love Musashi as a protagonist. I’m still early in the full game but I already adore him as a character. He’s witty, funny, goofy, and strong all at the same time. Exactly what I had hoped for in a new Onimusha! @capcomusa.com

As someone who was older when Ocarina of Time originally released, it never hit me the same way as others. That said, Zelda has always held a special place in my heart and was foundational on the NES/SNES for many like me. With BOTW missing the mark for me, OOT Remake looks amazing. I can't wait.❤️

The Blood of Dawnwalker is so engrossing. For me, it's like a perfect combination of a choice-driven RPG. It mixes elements of games like The Witcher 3 and KCD2 while also introducing unique elements of its own. It's fantastic. And stunning as well!

On vacation this week and finally hiked Mt Rainier after living out here when I was younger. Hell of a hike. My legs are shattered but it was worth it. 🏔️🥾 AND we were about 50 yards from a black bear who was eating. The Rangers had to have us divert slightly. But was amazing seeing one so close.

I know we've all said this countless times, but it's truly crazy how every once in a while Rockstar shows up and stops the gaming world in its tracks. GTA6 looks absolutely bonkers. It's crazy to think on the complexity of what they will have created with it. And I can't wait to get lost in it.
