You will work harder and be paid the same adjusting for inflation. Productivity has gone up for 40 years in the US will real wages have stagnated. Well probably dropped for lower incomes.

Its sweet, sweet irony if you think about it, Trump wanted to diminish the US trade deficit, but instead he has ensured US income from selling digital services to Europe will diminish in the coming years. Meanwhile Europeans will be building our own digital service industry to compete.

The EU-US trade was 1.68 trillion $ in 2024. The largest single country trade partner of the US was Mexico with 872 billion, about half of EU-US trade. Most US trade to the EU is digital services which is probably going down as european countries turn to domestic providers.

I like cash too, but I dont need a card if it means visa/master and sending money to the US in payment.

No, not that we really need a card. Our phones are our cards nowadays. My health card, my bank cards and my driving license are on my phone though I still need my driving license in other EU countries for now.

If you assume as they do that god is real, all powerful and omnipresent, any and all scientific discoveries make sense. The creator simply constructed a self contained system where he is not needed to maintain it. Honestly, would be a pretty shitty design if it required running maintainance.

You mean the civil war the arab residents started to drive out the jews? Israel arguably committed cultural genocide. Most of the arabs that stayed integrated into Israel as its arab minority. The primary conflicts are in Gaza and the West Bank, taken in 1967.

Seaserpent723 @seaserpent723.bsky.social · 26/03/2026
If not for Hamas restarting the conflict every few years with completely ineffectual attacks its far more likely Israel would have been pressured into a two state solution long ago.

Seaserpent723 @seaserpent723.bsky.social · 26/03/2026
Right, right gunning down civilians was okay. Just as it was okay when they cut the achilles tendons on that german girl so she couldnt run away, gang raped her, killed her and drove her corpse around Gaza while crowds cheered. If not for Hamas Israel would have zero justification for its actions.

Seaserpent723 @seaserpent723.bsky.social · 23/03/2026
As for it being some kind of desperate resistance, Hamas is an international terrorist organisation that funnels resources away from Gaza and towards its billionaire leaders. They were making the situation worse for Gazan civilians long before the conflict and still are now.
101
Seaserpent723 @seaserpent723.bsky.social · 23/03/2026
That is not how conflicts work. You are the aggressor when you are the one who attacks first, which was Hamas in the latest conflict. Israel is the oppressor and has been since the 1967 war. Before that Gaza was part of Egypt and the westbank Jordan.
200
Seaserpent723 @seaserpent723.bsky.social · 23/03/2026
Israel was not the aggressor in the latest Palestine-Israel war, Hamas was. Israel likely committed genocide (cultural at least), but they did not attack Palestine on Oct 7th, an attack that even the ICJ says was a crime against humanity. Losing does not mean you did not start it.

Well another win for countries with a large percentage of green energy in the grid and ev owners. Guess gasoline car owners love that rush of prices doubling day to day.

Its not that amazing, they are firing into our airspace. Also the Iranian religious leadership is a basketcase. But that dident have to be the west´s problem as long as they were prevented from getting nukes and icbms. Yet again America ties the proverbial albatross to our collective neck.

Not just children, but also babies, young women - probably a lot more of those than we think -, human flesh and so on. It was a pyramid with your regular old perverts at the bottom trading and abusing young women and then a step or two above that you had the pedos. They were not the sickest circle

You were going to assume that anyway. The tie ended in 2004 according to the files. Thats 4 years before Epstein was unmasked the first time. Clinton has a gross prediliction for women in their twenties (decades too young for him), that does not make him a pedophile. Just gross.

So what is your answer? Trump is all over the reports, thousands of mentions, images of him with his best friend Epstein, plenty of testimony against him. Bill Clinton also knew Epstein, back in 2001-2004, 7 years before Epstein was unmasked the first time. He had no later contacts, unlike Trump.

Trumps not extreme enough. They wanted a war, instead they got someone who cares nothing for their revisionist history and white power fantasies or anything else apart from himself.

AI and robots taking over a large percentage of jobs does not HAVE to be a bad thing, it could be a really good thing. But I do think they need to raise the tax rate substantially on fully automated factories and businesses with an eye towards financing a universal basic income.

Not sure who needs to hear this but the voter fraud rate is a mere 0.000003%. Anyone telling you otherwise is making shit up so they can take away your right to vote.

Cheaper than oil and gas. Thats a product of government and private investment into developing those technologies over the course of decades. Which is a long way of saying socially democratic countries are financially capitalistic with generous safety nets for the people and very strong unions.

Seaserpent723 @seaserpent723.bsky.social · 10/02/2026
No. And no social democrat is working to decommodify essentials, they are working to bring prices down. Healthy competition, the opposite of US corporate monopolies, makes that happen. Even Trump hasnt been able to prevent the expansion of wind and solar because they are cheaper.

None of those are socialist policies, they are policies you would see with a social democrat. I live under one. A true socialist will grab everything for themselves under the guise of "collective ownership". Its owned by everyone which means its owned by government leaders.

It worked with the Nazies though, but they were humbled and many of the worst offenders were dealt with. Hold the leaders - musk, trump, etc - responsible.

Half the US population have an iq below 100. Many are well below that unfortunately or they are so old that they simply dont think critically about things anymore. Trump knows that, every conman does. Dont go for the critical thinkers, go for the ones that will struggle to understand.

Total amounts unfortunately matter a lot as well. Each Norwegian does more, but there are a lot more americans. 63.3 billion $ in 2024 for ODA. More than a quarter of total donations, 212 billion. Yeah people were hurt by Trumps policies, rugs were pulled.

The greatest men (and women) are often shaped by great pressure. Thats rare in a superpower but far more common in a small power under constant threat.

Norway was subsumed into Denmark. It did not exist for four hundred years and when it was reborn other former Norwegian territories remained with Denmark. You could argue both have an older claim, certainly older than that of the modern US. I wonder how many native americans would vote to join...

This is also the people and the states holding back. There are 22.000 ICE agents spread across the US. Could be more unofficial members, but thats still a fragment of what would be facing them if things descend into real unrest and violent resistance.

Seaserpent723 @seaserpent723.bsky.social · 25/01/2026
I dont see any real chance of them getting the mandate needed to reform the US either, republicans will veto any attempts at getting rid of the electoral college and "winner takes all elections".

Seaserpent723 @seaserpent723.bsky.social · 25/01/2026
I personally hope we can build stronger trade bonds with Canada to offset the loss of the US and to strengthen the EU-Canada political bond. Even if Trump fails to turn the US into a dictatorship and democrats retake the house this year the US is just too fragile to rely on as a primary partner.

Seaserpent723 @seaserpent723.bsky.social · 22/01/2026
Dont worry, we took the Germans back after a couple decades and they were a lot worse. Reforming the "winner takes all" type of election would go far, I genuinely think thats what keeps the two party system in place and in turn keeps the two main parties massive and inflexible.
