Sadly, the RPG Maker forums is shutting down. I learned so much from the posts and game jams there, and my games wouldn't have been possible without the support of the community. The potential loss of all the knowledge and resources there when the site is deleted in December is heartbreaking.

I had one of those little moments of joy when this worked! It took a couple days to code it up but planning out the UI, deciding what features the player can choose to illustrate a location and getting everything to mesh well took a lot longer. Art by the amazing hiddenone! #gamedev #indiegame

It took me several hours to draw these roads programmatically - first, the white lines wouldn't show up, then they appeared on top of the nodes, then the diagonal lines were thicker than the horizontal/vertical ones. But the joy I felt when I finally got everything working is why I love #gamedev!
