Both are Godzilla games. One is the usual Savage Worlds kaiju combat nonsense. The other is an Outgunned-powered homage to the American action scientist Godzilla cartoons and Monsterverse. For the latter, I m going to experiment with having the players share control of one kaiju.

The Cruise Adventure Arc of “Spy x Family” is both the most tonal whiplash-inducing arc of the anime and also the best. I’d compare it to “Bullet Train” (2022) for its mix of humor and “John Wick”-style violence.

Lupin the Third isn’t based on Maurice Leblanc’s Arsène Lupin. He’s based on Edogawa Rambo’s rip off of Maurice Leblanc’s Arsène Lupin in “Ōgon-kamen” (“Golden Mask”).

What I regret is not being able to do the full “Freedom Squadron vs. The Toys That Made Us” line of adventures. I’m sad I never got to work Barbie into the published material, or send the heroes off to an Eternia/Third Earth mashup. Thankfully, I got to do some of that in personal games I ran. 4/5

With “Barbie” showing up on Netflix today, I find myself reminiscing about unfulfilled plans for Freedom Squadron. Frankly, I just don’t feel that a game about fighting fascist supervillains funded by prehistoric reptile people is the right game for even a halfheartedly “realistic” approach. 1/4?
