So I got my first rejection and the agent said she loved the idea but wasn’t swept away by the pages I had sent so my opening I feel needs more oomph so it pulls you right in

Oh I’ve finished it, just waiting to see if an agent will accept it and if not what they recommend for it in which case I’ll do a fourth draft

It’s a stand alone but the world has been fleshed out enough that it could be a series

Oh I love using all my books for worldbuilding. Titanfall is dark fantasy with body horror leanings, when it does lean into the body horror it leans into it heavily

To give you an idea of what titles are comparable to my dark fantasy Titanfall I put five up Went for similar vibes rather than yeah these are directly similar #darkfantasy #fantasy #horror #bodyhorror #writer #fantasyauthor #horrorauthor

Music can play a part in it if I feel it enhances the story. Otherwise I tend to avoid it. My current project “Bigger” would be my biggest example, a psychological body horror where typical gym hardstyle and metal songs play a big part, drawing on my own bodybuilding experience #HorrorWritersChat

I’m Sean, I write dark fantasy, horror, and sci-fi of all subgenres My work playlists range from ambient music (dnd ambience helps) to movie soundtracks to typical gym hype metalcore (Playing God by Motionless in White is my current obsession) #HorrorWritersChat

So far on chapter 3, it’s a different flavor of horror so taking my time with it plus this is very personal so I want the emotion to come across correctly

I’ve always been fascinated with the idea of corpses being so massive cities can be built on them I’m surprised authors like Tolkien didn’t do such things (Ancalagon is a prime example) Anyways my dark fantasy novel Titanfall is about this concept #darkfantasy #fantasy #bodyhorror #writer #author

Happy gundam day! On the 7th of April 1979, Mobile Suit Gundam aired its 1st episode. Created by the legendary Yoshiyuki Tomino, this series was the start of one of the most influential & recognizable Mecha franchises of all time.

$450 for a console? Sure, it sucks but sure $80 for digital and $90 for physical copies? And that’s standard versions not deluxe? Nah gtfo @nintendousa.bsky.social your games better come out day one airtight. No bugs, no day one patches, game better be polished to a shine for that price
