One of my dearest friends, Daine, went to Cornell and attended prom at that fraternity. She says she felt quite safe, and most decwnr men are the majority. Diane is fabulous and has set up this amazing NPO supporting STEMM women: www.epistimi.org You would love her!

If you add in £130m losses on “Reform TV” (aka GB News) the effective subsidy of Farage’s party from just four men tops £200m. You just have to join the dots app.prospectmagazine.co.uk/story/75017/...

In Ireland at the moment. A huge sigh of relief in Dublin today, as the visit was not disastrous. Some interesting comments about a United Ireland, though.

I've been in both buildings, and the Bangor one has a great view from the communication tower. I was sad that I couldn't see the Menai Suspension Bridge.

Such a divided country. I would say that of my ten dearest and closest friends, three are American, and they despise and hate Trump as much as I do. I do hope the pendulum will swing leftward, but it is absolutely not guaranteed.

Can't imagine much overlap. I regularly listen to your podcast, but the only time I was offered a free copy of the Daily Mail as part of some promotion, I refused and said, "I wouldn't even use it to wipe my bottom" - not sure what came over me; I'm normally very polite.

The hostility is unmistakably worse. Racism and anti-immigrant hatred, once whispered in shadows, now blare openly—mainstream, unapologetic, and proudly flaunted by all but progressives.

My grandfather (Athae C. Limerick) didn't know Napoleon, but knew a veteran in the village who fought in Waterloo and in the Iberian Campaign under Wellington. He said Wellington's Irish accent was so strong that his English troops struggled to understand him.

It is certainly true that the highest correlation of voting for Brexit was the death penalty. I am, however, a participant in many referendums and am of the view that there were a multitude of factors, as in part 2/7 of my recent Brexit analysis in NE Bylines. northeastbylines.co.uk/news/brexit/...
