I have a new roommate. I haven’t spoken a word to him, but I’m going to lose my shit on his father if he visits. I’m guessing that the kid’s in his early 20’s. He was hit by a car, riding his bicycle to get pizza. His father screamed at him on the phone, blaming the kid for a car running a red light

So, I spoke to one of the infectious disease surgeons earlier. I'm going for an MRI/Contrast, at some point, whenever the machine is available. Then I'll be scheduled for yet another surgery.

So, no sleep tonight. My roommate just called the nurse, claiming chest pains. I feel bad for him if he does, but I'm not seeing anything telling me that he does. The nurse just did an EKG on him, and didn't seem concerned.

I went through more testing this morning. I’m hoping that this gives more answers and a more solid course of treatment. It was pretty painful, having a needle that looks like the ones they use to inflate a football, inserted into my calf, but I survived. They withdrew a lot of junk send to the lab.

Ok. This is fucking bullshit. The floor doctor has set my pain regimen. .5mg of oxycodone. I guarantee that isn't going to work. Then injectable opiates can be used. Even the nurse said it was dumb.

I'm out of surgery. I'm in so much pain. I asked the nurse about pain killers, and she told me that the doctor hasn't sent any orders. So I guess I just have to suffer until she get around to prescribing pain meds. Not good. Gonna hit the vape

Hey, @unitedhealtcare.bsky.social , they're saying that I need another surgery. Was it worth it to to end my hospital stay, with no rehab? I'm pretty sure another surgery and 3-4 week hospital stay is going to cost more than the physical therapy option, that you denied.

Update on my roommate. He understands English, but can speak it. He's a young Hispanic man in his 20s, and I am guessing that he's a junkie, because they brought him methadone this morning. The irony of it all.🙄

Finally, after 15 hours in the ER, they brought me a cup of water and a turkey sandwich. Previous to this, the only other thing I've had was a cup of coffee, at 6am.

Looks like they're going to keep for at least the weekend. I just had a CT Scan on my legs. That's just a precaution because they checked the pulses in my legs, earlier, and they were strong.

Going to the Emergency Room today.I don't know how I'm going to survive. Even with all of the walking I'm doing, my legs feel weaker. I fell twice overnight and once this morning. I hate United Healthcare.
