The mouthy one who disappeared a few times. Still grumpy, just quieter. Grows things, talks to animals, collects spooky stuff. ❤️💜💙 He/Him (for my sins)

There was also so much random nonsense that he elevated with way more depth than it might have otherwise gotten. Still regularly quote "Can I do this, or will I look like some sort of gay superhero?" Steals every scene. And towards the end, the break from comedy to hurt anger. Fantastic.
Sir Patrick Stewart as Sterling in 1995 film Jeffrey. In the scene he is dramatically trying on a large red scarf/shawl

We're through to the other side folks
A very ruggedly constructed tart/pie thing. Basically pastry base, with cooked plums and apples, and a cross hatch of pastry on top.

To the right is half a litre of spicy tomato sauce.

An Post are really making a meal out of killing off AddressPal. "After carefully reviewing the service, the AddressPal website will no longer be available from 16 October 2026." You can still use it after that, but its going to be messy.
What this means for you as an existing customer

You can continue to use the AddressPal service to receive your international deliveries after the website closes.

However, after 16 October 2026, you will no longer be able to:

- Register for a new AddressPal account
- Update your account details online
- Change your payment card information
- Access your AddressPal account online

To ensure you can continue using the service after the website closes, there are a few important actions you’ll need to take before 16 October 2026.

What you need to do before 16 October

- Make a note of your AddressPal number (APW number) and keep it somewhere safe.
- Check that your payment card details are up to date.
- Update any personal account information that you may need to change.
- Save any account information you may need to access in future

If you wish to close your AddressPal account, you can log in to your account before 16 October 2026 and select the option at the bottom of the screen.

Looking ahead

We know that many customers value convenient ways to shop with retailers that don't deliver directly to Ireland. We're exploring future options in this area and how we can continue to support customers' international shopping needs.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused in closing the website, we hope you continue to use the service as you do today as the website is just needed for new registrations and amendments. If you wish to close your account after 16 October 2026, please contact us at addresspalsupport@anpost.ie.

Tidied the garden & cooked some bits. Found this monster courgette hidden in the overgrown spot I was saving for a pond. Cooked down the apples and made black butter.

Screenshot of Richard Chambers scolding...someone? For apparently sharing nonsense. But for lots of us we've already blocked it...so...cool I guess?

Post 1 of 3:
"This now being shared around without anyone actually seeing if he said that in the clip...

Doing the rounds over on Twitter as well."

The post he's linking is blocked in the screenshot, caught by one of numerous blocklists.

The Journal is much more deserving of a bit of money and respect than other big players btw. I just wouldn't lead with comments & columnists as justification.
Subscribers will see no display ads, while it is understood that paywalled articles will include some analysis features and columns.
New features around comments are also set to be introduced.
“We have been investing in journalism which offers even more depth and impact,” said Sinéad O’Carroll, editor of The Journal.
“That means extra reporters on the ground, new columnists offering different perspectives, a range of series bringing ordinary Irish life to the fore and handy question-and-answer clinics with experts. But we believe as a newsroom, as does the organisation as a whole, that we can do more for our readers. And that’s why we’re launching the subscription service.
“[The] subscriptions will allow us to keep investing in this type of journalism. Since we launched 16 years ago, we have always strived to keep some fun in the news and that remains part of our motivation today.”

Is the "challenging it" in the room with us?
Person responding to video post of interview with Steve Bannon: "Why are you platforming this creep?"

Richard Chambers' response: "Because he has started an aim of starting and supporting an Irish MAGA. It’s worth us finding out about that foreign influence on our politics first hand and challlenging it rather than just reading about it online and going “that’s awful”."

Tagged with "made over 30 replies yesterday"

Post text: "I do find it darkly funny that people know (or should know) Substack is a deeply, deeply troubling organisation that gives voices to abominable nazi's and vile creatures like Andrew Tate, but when it comes to accusing men of being creeps, have no problem sharing it.

The double standards are wild."

Its funny how all the other "pain from all directions" (ie current events posts) aren't mass reported and blanket banned by the mods. I don't believe its just crybabies who can't learn to curate their feeds, but even if it was true, its pathetic.
