Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 29/09/2026I've been on vacay for a bit - Grand Canyon, a Bluegrass festival, then a family reunion in Twisp, WA. Back to work on Thursday (just in time for the "where's my PFD?" people.) I've never seen a reflection I didn't like and/or photograph, so in that spirit, "up the road" from Twisp: 090

Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 06/09/2026The cool thing about cloud pictures is that no two are ever alike. The snowflakes of landscape photography. 0192
Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 19/08/2026Pretty sure that the 1st place I lived in Tok is gone. Just so hard to comprehend. 020
Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 16/08/2026I hate how pervasive it is. Also VERY glad I'm no longer an English teacher. 030
Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 16/08/2026A friend of mine finished a book last year. I wanted to be supportive and bought a copy. (It wasn't good.) She told me just a month ago that she had "wanted to see if she could write a book with AI." If I'd known before I spent my $$! You think you know people... Grrr! 120
Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 14/08/2026Seriously, can beer be far behind? I think I might get hooked on fermentation. (My first batch of kombucha, 2nd fermentation for bubbles & flavor.) 130
Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 13/08/2026The salmon will start dying without ever getting up a stream. Ugh. 030
Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 29/07/2026Summer is at the halfway point...or just a smidge over. 😉 051
Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 26/07/2026I knit in good times and bad - we lost our doggo a couple of weeks ago so I really doubled down on my knitting. It's a good distraction. Halloween/Samhain is my favorite time of year and I'll be wearing this a LOT. Great pattern by Joan Rowe. #knitsky #knitting 3340
Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 09/07/2026I did a thing while in ABQ. Ravens figure prominently in both the Native culture of the desert SW and the rain forest of Sitka. My ancestry is Celtic, hence the woven moon. I have a large tribal phoenix on my left arm with a sun in purple and turquoise. They balance each other nicely. 060
Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 09/07/2026Yes - almost every year there are a few around & caught. 010
Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 30/06/2026I'm flying to ABQ today and was upgraded to 1st on my Seattle/ABQ leg. I'm thrilled! Usually I'm upgraded to 1st from Sitka to Juneau. 🤣 030
Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 23/06/2026Our hearts drop when we first hear of something like this! Yes, we're so grateful that everyone walked away. 030
Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 23/06/2026Bronwyn, repeat after me: I will never, ever knit with yarn doubled ever again. I will CERTAINLY never knit with yarn doubled when it is a splitty catastrophe. I will certainly, AS ALL THE GODS AS MY WITNESSES, never knit itty, bitty baby sweater sleeves on DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES with said yarn. 030

Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 20/06/2026Reposting to get the name right: False Hellebore up on Harbor Mountain. (Man, I'd love an edit button!) 1112
Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 20/06/2026Yep - I was just coming to correct my naming! lol I was told incorrectly. 010
Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 20/06/2026Another view of the ocean from Harbor Mountain, this time with a Mountain Hemlock stealing the show. Love those twisty trees. 081
Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 20/06/2026It was a hike, but I came home and iced my knee so it's all good! I'm a determined cuss when there's something I want to do. Damn the consequences! 020

Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 17/06/2026I'm so sorry. I've been there with my son. No words can describe the anxiety and heartbreak. 140
Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 05/06/2026There's something beautiful about a brand new pack of office supplies...at least to office supply nerds like myself. And - happy Pride Month! 040
Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 05/06/2026True! It was particularly grim when they took out the center seating. I usually ended up sitting on the floor, so I saw a lot of people's legs. 010
Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 05/06/2026I'm a double Virgo and can confirm. Trigger me and I'll Virgo the hell outa ya. LOL 100

Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 03/06/2026My dentist just told me I have an unusually deep, square jaw. If I'm punched hard, it probably wouldn't break. Good to know for my next bar brawl. 030

Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 03/06/2026It hit 80F in Sitka today. I think I'm just gonna lay down & die... Winter. I. Need. Winter! (But not the snow. No. Snow!) 4223
Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 31/05/2026Once in a while I really miss living up there. Lots to see and the road trips are epic!! 040
Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 18/05/2026Exactly. Life is too short for unenjoyable books! I felt bad 'cause my undergrad is in English and I taught English literature, but I just couldn't with some. Unpopular opinion: I could never get through Tolkien, despite being a huge fantasy nerd. 040
Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 18/05/202616. But like you, there are several more I really *tried* to read and just couldn't. 🤷♀️ 130
Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 22/04/2026Good point - for about a month it was that way for us also. We were lucky it was only a few weeks! 020
Bronwyn @seakgal.bsky.social · 22/04/2026The season of "using the back porch as a fridge" has officially closed in Sitka. I enjoy spring, but I miss the extra space! 2202
