Sen. Eric Schmitt was so overzealous to try and get Jack Smith, a good and honest man who has done great work, that Schmitt embarrassed himself by accusing Smith of going to the wrong basketball game. You can't make this stuff up. And right wing media will pretend it never happened.

I want to urge prosecutors to consider capital punishment in the gang rape by the seven men who committed the crime. Additionally, every individual who participated in the chat from the fraternity should spend decades in prison. This was a dramatic crime and a dramatic punishment is appropriate.
