A 23 year old male (P2) was riding his 2003 Harley Motorcycle northbound on 1000 Catalina Blvd.
approaching the intersection with Varona Street. A 58 year old male (P1) was driving his 2016 Jeep Patriot
eastbound on Varona St. approaching Catalina Boulevard. P1 attempted to cross Catalina Blvd. in violation
of P2's right of way, causing P2 to collide with the rear passenger door of P1. P2 was transported to the
hospital, where he was declared deceased. DUI was not a factor in this crash. Traffic Division officer
responded and are investigating the collision.

A 56 year old male (P1) driving a Land Rover, was northbound 1500 Torrey Pines Rd. and started to make a U-
turn, mid-block. A 68 year old female (P2) was driving a Mitsubishi Mirage, southbound 1500 Torrey Pines

Rd. in the #2 lane. P1 made his turn into the path of P2. P2's vehicle impacted the front, right side of P1's
vehicle. P2's passenger, an unknown aged male was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of P2
sustained two broken arms, two femur fractures, a fractured pelvis and facial fractures. P1's driver, had a
complaint of pain. Alcohol not a factor. Traffic Division officer responded to the scene and are investigating
the collision.

Man driving a stolen Tesla was evading police when he drove onto the Pacific Beach boardwalk where he struck a 25-year-old woman. He later stopped and fled on foot but was caught. Victim suffered fractured ribs and vertebrae, and a cut to her abdomen. Police suspect DUI. #VisionZero

A 39 year old male (P1) was driving a stolen 2017 Tesla Model X, westbound in the eastbound lanes of 700
Pacific Beach Drive, to evade the pursuit of police. P1 struck an SDG&E power box, before turning
northbound and driving on the Boardwalk of 4100 Ocean Boulevard. A 25 year old female (P2) was walking
on the Boardwalk and was struck by P1. P1 continued driving northbound and stopped at 700 Thomas
Avenue, fleeing from the vehicle on foot. P1 was taken into custody. P2 suffered two fractured right ribs,
two fractured vertebra and a laceration to her abdomen, which required stitches. P2's injuries are not
considered life threatening. DUI is suspected to be a factor in this crash. Traffic Division officers responded
to the scene and are investigating the collision.

Balboa Avenue against a red signal light. A 38 year old male was driving a 2023 Tesla Model 3 westbound on
Balboa avenue in the #2 lane and struck the bicyclist in the intersection. The bicyclist was transported to a
local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Traffic units responded and will be handling. Alcohol was
not a factor.

A 70-year-old female (P2) was walking on Landis Street, crossing 44th Street in the south crosswalk. A 36-
year-old male (P1) was driving a Chrysler 300 westbound on 4400 Landis Street and stopped at the stop sign.
P1 made a left turn to proceed southbound on 3600 44th Street. P1 struck P2 in the crosswalk. P2 sustained
a brain bleed and was transported to a local hospital. The injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

A 26-year old male parked a 2014 Honda Accord in a parking lot at 8081 Balboa Ave. He returned to vehicle
a short time later and began driving away. A 37-year old female was laying on the ground in front of the
vehicle. The vehicle collided with the pedestrian. The driver felt the impact and backed up. He discovered
the female on the ground. The female was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. She sustained a
fractured sacrum and humerus. S.D.P.D. Traffic Division responded to the location and are handling the
investigation. DUI was not determined to be a factor in the collision.

A 26-year old male was driving a 2025 Tesla Model 3 westbound on Nobel Drive, through the intersection
with Villa La Jolla Drive. The Tesla entered a private driveway for the Woodlands North Condominium
complex at a high rate of speed. The driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle slid to the side and
collided with a curb and a tree further down the driveway. The driver was transported by ambulance to a
local hospital. He sustained fractures to two ribs, his lower vertebrae and pelvis. He also sustained
pulmonary contusions and a concussion. S.D.P.D. Traffic Division responded and is handling the
investigation. D.U.I. Was determined to be a factor in the collision.

Driver was speeding on Harbor Drive in Barrio Logan and struck a parked vehicle, among other things. All three occupants were ejected. One died in the hospital. A second had their foot amputated and suffered burns, cuts and scrapes. Third occupant suffered life threatening head trauma. #VisionZero

A 2018 Dodge Charger was being driven eastbound on Harbor Drive. There were three occupants in the
vehicle. Their seating position is unknown. The Charger was travelling at a high rate of speed. For an
unknown reason the Charger veered to the right, and collided with a parked Kia vehicle and multiple fixed
objects. All three occupants of the Charger were ejected. The occupants were transported by ambulance to
a local hospital. Occupant One sustained an amputation of the right foot, and was pronounced deceased at
the hospital. Occupant Two sustained an amputated right foot, as well as multiple burns, abrasions, and
lacerations. Occupant Three sustained severe head trauma which was classified as life threatening. S.D.P.D.
Traffic Division responded and is handling the investigation. DUI is suspected.

36th St. A 49 year old male (P2) was driving a silver '12 Nissan Sentra E/B on 3600 Wightman St. P1 failed to
stop for the stop sign at 36th St. and Wightman St. P1 broadsided the front passenger side of P2 and was
ejected into the roadway. P1 sustained a brain bleed (observed only), fractured right thumb and collapsed
left lung. P2 sustained a complaint of pain to his right arm and neck. P2's passenger had complaint of pain to
her right shoulder and right clavicle. DUI was not a factor.

was approaching a solid green traffic signal light at the intersection With Federal Blvd. A 34-year old female
pedestrian was running westbound across Euclid Ave, in the marked crosswalk at Federal Blvd. The Mazda
collided with the pedestrian while she was in the crosswalk. The female was transported by ambulance to a
local hospital. She sustained multiple life threatening injuries including skull fracture, brain contusion,
carotid artery tear, and grade 3 liver injury. S.D.P.D. Traffic Division responded and is investigating the

A 38-year old male was driving a 2001 Ford Ranger on the sand between the water and the roadway on
Fiesta Island. Two adult female passengers were also in the vehicle. The driver of the Ranger was
accelerating and swerving erratically, causing the tires to loose traction. During one of the maneuvers, the
vehicle rolled over. The occupants were transported by ambulance to a local hospital. The driver sustained a
brain bleed, and multiple spinal fractures. A 21-year old female passenger sustained a fractured scapula, and
multiple spinal fractures. A 23-year old female passenger sustained no serious injuries. S.D.P.D. Traffic
Division responded and is in investigating the collision. DUI was determined to not be a factor in the
collision.

Central Division officers initiated a pursuit with (P1), a 20 year old male who was driving a Jeep Cherokee. P1
was traveling eastbound Imperial Ave and crossed into the westbound lanes. The pursuit was terminated
and ABLE was tracking the vehicle. P1 then collided head on with (P2) a 61 year old male, driving a Toyota
Camry in the eastbound number 1 lane of 6400 Imperial Avenue. P1 fled on foot and was taken into custody.
P2's passenger, a 66 year old female, was transported to the hospital. She sustained perforated organs and
was taken into surgery. The injuries are considered life threatening. P2 sustained a left rib fracture. P1 had
complaint of pain to the head. DUI not a factor. Traffic units responded to the scene and are investigating
the collision.

A 24 year old male (P1), was driving a stolen 2026 white Lexus TX500h, while illegally evading Western
Division Patrol Officers, northbound in the #1 lane of 2000 San Diego Avenue. The driver lost control of the
vehicle and struck the west curb line of San Diego Avenue and a telephone pole. The male driver continued
northbound and struck the rear of a parked vehicle (V2). V2 was forced westwards and the male's vehicle
then struck the rear of V3. V3 struck V4 and V4 struck V5. All the vehicles were parked and unoccupied. The
male driver sustained a closed fracture to his right ankle and a fractured T-11 (spine). DUI was not a factor.

Police are asking for help finding the driver of a white car, possibly a Chevy Malibu, who struck and seriously injured a woman as she attempted to cross El Cajon Boulevard in El Cerrito last October, then fled the scene. #VisionZero
San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police
Department’s Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying and
locating the vehicle and driver that fled the scene of a traffic collision leaving a
pedestrian with major injuries in the El Cerrito area of San Diego.
On October 6, 2025, at 8:06 p.m., an adult female pedestrian was walking across the
5700 block of El Cajon Blvd., in San Diego. A vehicle was traveling eastbound on El
Cajon Blvd. in the number two lane. The vehicle struck the pedestrian, knocking her
to the ground. The driver of the vehicle did not stop and fled the scene without
calling 911 or rendering first aid. The vehicle was last seen driving eastbound on El
Cajon Blvd.
The pedestrian suffered several head injuries and was transported to a local hospital
for medical treatment. The injuries were not considered life threatening.

Suspect’s Vehicle Description:
The suspect’s vehicle is described as being similar to a newer model Chevy Malibu
with possible minor damage to its front passenger side corner.

Balboa Avenue. A 23-year-old male driving a 2024 blk Ford Lightning eastbound in the number two lane of
5800 Balboa Avenue. The bicyclist turned left directly in front of the Ford Lightning. The Ford Lightning
driver struck the right side of bicyclist with the front of his vehicle. The bicyclist suffered multiple broken
ribs, a collapsed lung and a stretched vestibular artery. Alcohol was not a factor in this collision. San Diego
Police Department Traffic Division will be handling the investigation.

Update on Fatal Crash with Pedestrian

SAN DIEGO – Yesterday morning, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a San Diego Police Officer was driving a marked department patrol vehicle westbound on the 5800 block of Linda Vista Road near Goshen Street. The officer felt an impact on his vehicle, turned the vehicle around and discovered a man lying in the roadway.

The officer and their arriving partners immediately rendered first aid. San Diego Fire-Rescue personnel transported the man to a local hospital where he died of his injuries.

The San Diego Police Department Traffic Unit and Collision Investigations Bureau responded to the scene to investigate.

 

While the circumstances surrounding the collision were initially unclear, the investigation has since determined that the pedestrian intentionally stepped into the path of the police vehicle. Based on the evidence collected and witness statements obtained during the investigation, the death is believed to be a suicide.

The officer was not injured during the collision. 
 

Due to the sensitive nature of the incident, no other information will be released at this time.

A 44 year old female (P1) was driving a Lexus ES300 westbound 6600 Skyline Drive. She crossed over the
eastbound lanes and collided with the south curb and guard rail. P1 rotated and traveled across all the lanes
colliding with the north curbline. The left side of the vehicle collided with a tree, causing it to overturn onto
its left side and ejecting the female. The female was transported to the hospital with a fractured jaw,
fractured left humerus, lacerated liver and spleen, and multiple other injuries. DUI is not considered a
factor. Traffic Division officers responded and are investigating the collision.

intersection of Nautilus Street, on a green signal. P1 (unknown) was driving a black 2008–2013 Nissan
Rogue, eastbound on Nautilus Street and failed to stop for a red signal at La Jolla Blvd., and collided with the
71 year old male, before fleeing the scene. The male was transported to the hospital with life-threatening
injuries, including a fractured pelvis with internal bleeding, a brain bleed, a pneumothorax, and multiple rib
fractures. It is unknown if impairment was a factor in the collision. Traffic Division officer responded and are
investigating the collision.

P1 made a left turn into the path of P2. P2 impacted the front of P1's vehicle. P2 then impacted P3, a 2017
Lexus, driven by a 21 year old male traveling southbound 13800 Mango Drive. P2 was ejected from the
motorcycle and was transported to the hospital with a compound fracture, and open tib/fib fracture to his
right leg. The injuries are not considered life-threatening. Alcohol not a factor. Traffic Division officers
responded and are investigating the collision.

SDPD Vehicle Involved in Fatal Collision with Pedestrian

It is unclear, at this time, why the person entered the roadway. The officer was not injured during the collision.

 

The decedent is described as a white male in his early 20’s. His identification will be withheld, pending family notifications.

A 42 year old male was driving a 2020 VW Passat eastbound on 2600 El Cajon Blvd. approaching the
intersection with Hamilton St. A 62 year old female was crossing the street illegally from south to north at
the intersection of El Cajon Blvd. and Hamilton St. The Passat collided with the pedestrian in the number one
lane. The pedestrian was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Her injuries were determined to be
unsurvivable. S.D.P.D. Traffic Division responded to the scene and is handling the investigation. DUI was
determined to not be a factor in this collision.
