One of my favorite wrestling Gifs.
An interviewer thanks two female wrestlers for agreeing to do an interview without fighting while the two women are obviously removing things like gloves, jackets, and hats in preparation to start fighting each other.

Just watching THE MONSTER MAKER and appreciating the handwriting of the mad scientist doctor as he tries to seduce the married woman who reminds him of someone he once loved (I'm sure nothing is about to go wrong with this situation).
Best Wishes header followed by the handwritten cursive message:
"Thou wast all that to me,
For which my soul did pine-
All unearthed in fairy fruits and flowers.
And all the flowers were thine.

1. Has a plot twist I first saw in a comedy, which hurt an already poorly made film. 2. Old school Hammer Horror. Lee hated the get-up but he's great. 3. The internet doesn't create psychoes, the internet makes psychoes more creative. 4. Dead Birds director and writer together again. Not as good.

The literal only thing I remember from this film was the controversy of the poster enhancing Keira Knightley.
Three photos together from left to right
1. The poster from King Arthur where Keira Knightley is in the center drawing back a bow to let an arrow fly.
2. The original photo of Keira Knightley from the movie.
3. A close-up of Keira Knightley on the poster where she's obviously been photoshopped, including her bust size increased.

I love pro wrestling because I always imagine the match graphics getting outside of the bubble. "Cool Sunglasses" Kevin Knight vs "Doesn't know how belts work and is afraid to figure it out" Lio Rush. Imagine then explaining Lio was a normal dude who may have been possessed by a Gollum-like demon.
Match graphic for AEW Dynamite advertising a TNT Championship match (tonight at 8PM, live on TBS?!) between TNT Champion Kevin Knight who wears some cool looking sunglasses but carries himself so you know he's the bad guy versus ROH World TV Champion Lio Rush who has his belt looped over his head like a big old necklace while he grimaces and makes wide eyes at the camera.

David R. Ellis' ASYLUM is essentially A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET via THE HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL remake where the evil spirit of the head doctor of an asylum converted into a college dorm takes the trauma of the students and tortures them to death with it. Might vibe well with 1989's BURIED ALIVE.
Poster of 2008's ASYLUM, which is essentially a big faded creepy skull with an evil doctor standing in front of it while there is a railing in front of him. The title is in the bottom of it in some font I don't recognize but is probably supposed to also be creepy.

During the pandemic, Ben Stiller had a zoom script reading of his parody of these types of films with an all-star line-up. It was a real delight (and poor David Koechner's internet kept going out and he looked ticked)
A promotional image for The Towering Disaster with the tagline "Hell Upside Down, Then Right-Side Up Again"

Al Pacino turns 86 today. I watched his exorcism movie from last year THE RITUAL where he is the old priest, and Dan Stevens plays the young priest. It was an entertaining but very basic exorcism movie that showed Pacino can still casually outact people who are bona fide stars when he feels like it.
Poster for THE RITUAL (2025) that features the faded faces of Al Pacino (in little glasses) and Dan Stevens in the corners and a possessed girl locked to a bed while the tagline declares "YOU MUST HAVE FAITH" with an upside down cross is in the middle. Also, the top list of named actors is Al Pacino, Dan Steens, Ashley Greene, and Abigail Cowen which completely ignores that Patricia Heaton is in this movie as Mother Superior.

Currently Watching: CURSED HEARSE (2026) because...well, because I saw the poster and it was absurd enough that I decided to turn it on. I mean, if it's an evil car movie, why is that dude's teeth like that? Only one way to find out.
A due with dark messy hair, glowing "headlight" eyes, and spiky teeth snarls while a blond lady with a seemingly longer than usual mouth screams in terror. The title CURSED HEARSE is in the middle of the poster with an overlarge C and D that makes the second word seem like "Chearsed." The bottom of the poster is a decrepit, rundown hearse with a "FOR SALE" sign in the window that has its headlights on.

"A crisp and scary high-tech thriller...that improves on Die Hard 2..." says the blurb for Flight of the Black Angel. I couldn't find the review on the USA Today archive, but did find a Billboard issue that calls it a cross between "Top Gun" and "Taxi Driver." Anyway, maybe I should watch this thing
Exert from the June 15, 1991 Billboard Newspaper issue, 2nd Features by Michael Dare that reads:
"Flight of the Black Angel" (1991), Vidmark, prebooks Tuesday (11).
In this intense cross between "Top Gun" and "Taxi Driver," William O'Leary ("Bull Durham") gives a powerful performance as an Air Force F-16 jet pilot who goes insane and steal an armed plane in order to exact vengeance against a world of sin. The flying sequences are impeccably well done, an the climax truly nerve-wracking, making this one of the best aerial thrillers around. Rent it with "Hunt For Red October."

Barack Obama's Tweet saying "Here's a podcast that does a good job of laying out what's at stake, and why all of us need to get off the sidelines to demand change." but I've changed the linked podcast to a picture of the thumbnail of the 'We Hate Movies' podcast's episode on Despicable Me 2 where cohost Eric Szyszka is seemingly shouting "It's ok to like a movie!" to avoid hateful fans from being angry at the show.

Hostile Takeover is an action comedy carried well by Michael Jai White. Friend Request is a good bad movie. Such great nonsense. Don't Log Off is a covid thriller with people making the same bad decision. Eye for an Eye has a creepy Sandman design on top of an okay story. I give a lot of 2 1/2s

I think I've lost the plot on the whole "Batman" thing.
Poster for AZTEC BATMAN: CLASH OF EMPIRES, that shows...I don't even know how to describe this? Batman and maybe Two Face dueling on a fiery terrain with makeshift swords (Aztec Batman's sword more club like while Two Face is Three Musketeer-ish)? Aztec Batman's cowl appears more animal skin makeshift in nature? He's got furry boots but Two Face seems to have pilgrim buckle boots?! Wait, is Two Face supposed to be Christopher Columbus? I'm so sorry, that's not what this space is for...Oh, in the background, a more translucent Aztec Batman stands in front of a moon.
