How it started and ended. Much fun had building this frame bag for the man who welds all the Chumba bikes in ATX, Austin Walker!

@hobohubworks.bsky.social got my old truck, which had been left for dead for five years, running again. It’s his now!

(Part 2) …How strange, how beautiful, how utterly pointless—yet somehow pedaling in the realm of ‘mandatory.’” I think that’s something we can all agree on.

(Part 1) Riding bikes is straight fire. This thing where you’re moving fast but also slow, where you’re part of the world but also above it, and the wind is whipping around you and makes you feel a fleeting rebellion to the universe’s cares.

My real job is being a daddy to an objectively rad 4 year-old. He rocks one of these to school everyday and it makes me smile.

Okay, so Ecopak EPX200 and VX21, right? They come in COLORS and black (obviously, because everything cool is black). Then there’s the primo stuff—Ultra 200 and Ultra 400. These are the VIPs of the fabric world, but they’re tragically monochrome, only coming in shades of gray.

Made a “million mile set” for Preston in KC. He’s fittin’ to smash the Ozark Gravel Doom race single speeded in a couple months. LFG! •Full custom frame bag •full length custom top tuber •Big Lebarski feed bag x2 #bikepacking #bikepack #custombikebags #scsw

Fashioned this harness + dry bag system for Eric House (@drlovehouse on IG) and his looming Atlas Mountain Race. Eric is also a real hoot of a fella and psyched to think about this gear going along for the ride. The dry bag is Ultra200 and seam sealed. 🤌✌️ #bikepacking #makeordie #bikepackgear

Sneak peek at a rear rack (Mica Rack in this case) dry bag harness for 2024 SS Tour Divide champion Alex Kowalski. This was all his idea, and he’s gonna prototype it at the Atlas Mountain Race in Morrocco next month. Psyched to get that beta! Side pockets in the new Ultra®️ stretch mesh 👀

Stoke is high for this dream build of a bag for true legend @truemarmalade.bsky.social…he had the crazy idea of making a frame bag out of a highway “SLOW” sign. Kinda wild how well it turned out!

Been slowly adding content into a new website I’m building, and pretty hyped to finally have images of the various fabrics and zippers I use to make most of the technical gear.
