Yes, but it’s pretty narrow (disputes between states and disputes with diplomats). Everything else is determined by Congress

Scene with Tom and an anchor from ATN.
Tom: “Have you ever read Mein Kampf?”
Anchor; “Uh yeah, couple of times I guess.”
Tom: “Couple times? Were there Easter eggs there you didn’t get the first time?”

Madrid has a lot of great art museums, even outside of the big two (Prada, Reina Sofia). The Thyssen and the Sorolla are both nice.

The argument I’ve heard is that Massie could run for the seat as a spoiler and potentially split the vote. Could also be a Feinstein situation where the support staff enjoys the power and keeps him around even if he should resign

Will Wright (SimCity, The Sims, Spore). I think in earlier days it could be easier to know them since there were more “Joe’s X” titles (like Sid Meier’s Pirates! or American McGee’s Alice)

I guess libraries could keep microfiche copies, but you can do that with digital media too.

I think they’re saying that they learned it from independent media. I learned about Judge Vaddadi from Publicola stories like this one ericacbarnett.substack.com/p/municipal-...

Ann Davison's office continues to refuse to send DUI and domestic violence cases to elected Judge Pooja Vaddadi, who filed a bar complaint.

It could be, although there are a few King County council members who do take public transit (Balducci and Zahilay). Mayor might be too big of a target, though.

Green is Harrell (more conservative), the other is Wilson (more progressive). The coasts and Northeast Seattle are generally wealthier.

For example, Trump has lied about basic facts and programs 1000s of times. If you have a functioning reputation system, announcements about things like the free IVF program would be ignored or require a higher threshold of proof before reporting.

There are some, but who knows if ownership would allow it. Computer science and software engineering have their own approaches to dealing with lots of traffic/signal from bad sources, some similar to building reputation systems. 1/2

I think the plan is to hook in programmers at bigger companies, then when they build their workflow around it, they jack up the price and get the corporation to pay for it. Even $1,000/mo is small given a developer’s salary. Who knows if that will work, though.

Legitimate search orgs respect robots.txt. These scrapers don’t care and reject the norms around scraping. They also consume lots of resources and sometimes cause smaller websites to shut down because they can’t afford to keep running the site anymore.

Add to that all of the side events you have to do to move the "story" just so you can play your next game, and the mode just isn't fun anymore. On the online side, card-collecting modes like MyTeam are fun the first couple of times, and just feel samey afterwards. (3/3)

In earlier 2K versions, you could make your MyCareer player a beast at everything, and progression tracked well with experience so you could reach this within a few seasons. Now updates are tied to VC (virtual currency), so making your player good takes a lot of money or much more time. (2/3)

As someone who used to play 2K frequently and stopped, they definitely focused too much on online play and microtransactions. They've made core gameplay changes, but modes like MyCareer are hampered by random corporate-sponsored side quests and a player upgrade model that is too grindy. (1/3)

The generated images also misinterpret the memes. The guy in the bottom right meme looks annoyed instead of interested, and the Turkish shooter looks determined instead of nonchalant. It gets the shape right but misses what made them funny.

At the start of the Spanish Civil War, the cities that didn’t immediately fall were the ones that opened up their armories to citizens (which included a lot of unionists). The mayors that didn’t were soon surrounded by soldiers and national police and were forced to surrender.
