More #cardart for #IsekaiShowdown and @scryingeyestudios.bsky.social! This is "Ceviche de Pulpo" (Octopus Ceviche), a traditional dish from Peru and Chile! It consists of chunks of octopus, diced chiles, thinly-sliced red onions, marinaded in cilantro and citrus juices. #indiegame #gameart #foodart

A glass cup, filled with chunks of octopus, diced serrano peppers, fresh cilantro, and sliced red onions, sits on a wooden table. Beside it sits a whole lime, a lime wedge, a hibiscus flower, and Chilean bellflower (the national flower of Chile). The background shows a sunny beach, with rolling, blue waves and a rocky promontory in the distance.

Oh hi influx of new people! I'm Gaige, I'm a queer, 🏳️‍⚧️ (he/him), character designer, illustrator, game dev, and disability advocate (Multiple Sclerosis). I'm currently working with @scryingeyestudios.bsky.social on Isekai Showdown - a card game that's also a fighting game! I hope you like my work 💗

A young woman dressed in blue and yellow athletic wear. She has hibiscus tattoos on her shoulders and a wave tattoo on her side. She has dark hair and blonde bangs, pulled into a ponytail. She seems to be sitting beneath the surface of deep, open, ocean water, looking up as light shines through the water.

Two women laying head to head in a field of glowing white lilies. The first is a younger woman with sleek, dark violet hair pulled into two long twin braids. She is dressed in maroon techwear and holding a handmade stuffed elephant. The other is an older woman, dressed in a red, black, gold, and white habit, appearing to be a lady of the cloth.

A slightly older man with cropped black hair, dressed in a black, dark green, bronze, and red uniform, gearing up to swing a heavy twin-bladed sword in an attack.

A young woman with white hair dressed in a punk-style, cut up, sukeban school uniform, holding a baseball bat with barbed wire around it. She's sliding back as if deflecting an attack.

"Without anyone to meet you above the surface, it's not an ocean." "Then what is it?" "Just water." #IsekaiShowdown

Carmen, a young, tan woman with blue eyes, hibiscus tattoos on her shoulders, dark hair and yellow bangs pulled into a ponytail. She is wearing a blue and yellow swim top and has a few bandages on her face. She is sitting just below the surface of what seems to be the open ocean as air bubbles surround her. She has a reflective expression.

More Key Art for the alpha characters for #IsekaiShowdown CO-13, Malis, and Vivian were 3 characters from the very first stream we did that sparked this whole game project to begin with so it's cool to see how they've grown up! #CharacterDesign #GameDev #TCG

Key art of CO-13, a cyborg character dressed in white, ice blue, and black techwear. He's covered in mechanical apparatus and gauntlets that emit a bright electric blue light.

Key illustration of Malis, a warrior woman dressed in lose fitting and flowing gold and purple garments. She is also equipped with a pair of arm blades attached to her gold gauntlets.

Key art of Vivian, a curvy and playful plague doctor witch. She's dressed in a risque purple and black outfit, large patchwork purple witch hat, and holding glowing pink and green potions.

Scrying, also referred to as "seeing", is a practice rooted in divination and fortune-telling. It involves gazing into a medium, hoping to receive significant messages or visions that could offer personal guidance, prophecy, revelation, or inspiration. -from Wikipedia Pondering your orb is scrying.

Now, more than ever, we feel that human made artwork is really important to stress in games. A lot of care, effort, drafts, revisions, and hundreds of hours of work has been put into all of our characters, and it would be a disservice to the team and to the players to give them anything less 💗

A splash illustration of a core group of characters - Carmen the protagonist, Walter the gambler, Keiko the street punk, Abigail the magical girl, Fernando the luchador, and Silas the vampire cowboy (who is out in the daytime shshshsh be quiet if Astarion Baldersgate3 can be out in daylight with magic so can our magic vampire cowboy), all gathered around Carmen, telling a story on a graffiti covered wall that makes references to the other characters.

An illustration of Keiko, a sukeban, dressed in a navy and red, cut up school uniform with punk accessories. She is holding a baseball bat and sliding back in a defensive stance.

A key art illustration of Sister Victoria, a battle nun clad in a black, gold, and red habit, holding on to a mace that acts as her censer, dispersing deep violet incense.

A key illustration of Abigail, a magical girl with pink hair and a white, blue, and gold regalia, readies her rose rapier for a strike.

Hey Scryers, So we've had people reach out to us in the past few weeks who are interested in joining the art team, and while we love that, please do not submit portfolios that contain GenAl images. Human made work is very important to our art team so we just want to make that clear. Thank you.
