Turns out we did have a way to reach out. We just now received confirmation from Julia Vasilyeva's agency that she did in fact produce this artwork, so we've updated the note one more time.

A screenshot of White Widow on Scryfall. There is an updated note that reads:

“This artwork had its artist credit misprinted. Julia Vasilyeva instead illustrated this piece. Smirtouille has confirmed it was not his work.”

Thank you! We don't have a way to contact her either, but looking at her other work and how it compares to this one we're content to assume it's her until we hear otherwise. We've updated the artist credit and added a visible note to the card.

There is a note attached to the card that reads: “This art was misprinted with credit to Smirtouille, who has confirmed he did not illustrate it. It may be by Julia Vasilyeva instead. We'll typically find out by/around release day.” The note ends with a link to the tweet that we're replying to right now in this post you're reading.

And, as a feature we added sometime last year, you can run any search you like — for example, creatures in paper with mana value 7 — and then hit the shuffle button to get a random card from that search. (On mobile, it's behind the “View” button.)

You can now change Scryfall's default for what print is displayed when viewing cards. That's available in your user preferences: scryfall.com/settings/pre...

However, the Terminus of Return is *not* The Soul Stone. It doesn't have a flavor name, it has an altogether separate name. It has an altogether different type line and even different abilities. It's an “equivalent card”. (Which we're deciding to handle as a reprint.)

Count Dracula from VOW is *just* Sorin. It uses Sorin's name again as an indicator below the name bar, it uses Sorin's type line, it even uses Sorin's name in its text. (It would be a while later that Wizards decided to use the flavor name in printed text as well.) scryfall.com/card/vow/337...

We don't have historic changelog data like that, but Wayback machine would be able to help answer some questions. For example, it still has an archived copy of Lightning Bolt from before the Dominaria “any target” errata. web.archive.org/web/20160610...

You might wonder: what's the deal with these sections in the Foundations gallery then? (scryfall.com/sets/fdn) These are cards (mostly) specific to the respective product, but both products include cards from other parts of the set too. Some cards are in both!
