Exactly! Generating art stands entirely disconnected from the process of creation, it's all about just, the results with them, without an artistic identity. They try so hard to brute force it in, but it's nothing but a shallow imitation. Smoke and mirrors to mask the lack of passion and creativity.

I really hope they just didn't know. Honestly I just want them to put out some sort of statement regarding it, give their stance on generative AI use!! It's been brought to their attention a lot more recently but I don't believe anything has come out of it yet. I'm just, tired of it everywhere aha.

I consider the folks at VRC to know what it means to be an artist, to understand true creativity. But the recent surge of AI slop on the platform and their community spotlight showcasing it goes blatantly against this and I hope they change course. If anything will erode community trust, it's this.

Generating art and 3d assets makes it just empty of anything that makes art appealing to people. Used as a means to some end, often easy profits or smth like that. But most sensible folks, especially those that understand art, absolutely hate it. So really you're just shooting yourself in the foot.

Ugh genAI is such a scourge. Slop is everywhere, I don't wanna see that soulless shit but I guess tech has decided it should be in our faces at all times. Creativity is one of the biggest benefits of being a person, delegating it to an AI completely misses the point of art.

The best way to get me upset is folks being unreasonable and being inconsiderate towards their surroundings. And there was plenty of that today, and thus, I am angry. Stayed calm in the moment and asked people to leave to we could do our job, but they wanted a fight.
