Our sweet, precious, slightly grouchy but cuddly kitty, Ricky crossed the rainbow bridge this morning. He had quick onset diabetes and kidney failure. We did our very best to give you a life better than the one you were born into, and we were so happy to have you in our life. We love you. 💕🐱

David Attenborough is one of the biggest reasons for my love of nature, wildlife and the outdoors. To see him still alive and intensely passionate about wildlife and conservation as he turns 100 today gives me a little bit of hope that his legacy will live forever.

Yay for 40 rotations around the sun today! Had the best of both worlds, pigged out on AYCE at Mandarin with hubby and friends, and then went for a 6 km run tonight, just to balance it out. 😅

In some good personal news, I've managed to get my running pace back below 5:45/km, which makes me proud considering I had an old blown out ACL injury that I'd apparently overlooked as just a dislocated knee for far too long 🙃 I'm thankful for physiotherapy! Lol

Wanna know what my biggest pet peeve as a weather nerd is? When the media (very freuquently!) says "a polar vortex", as if its something that comes and goes. Its not a, its THE. The polar vortex is always there, it just ebbs and flows with the seasons and atmospheric pressure changes.
