Got my first Mattel DC Premiere figure, also my first John Stewart figure ever. I don't understand how they're less than $15 in this day and age, even with less articulation. This is a solid figure and the accessory gimmick is better than I expected.

I tried to base my C'hp on how he looked in a Paul Kupperberg/Don Newton back-up story in Green Lantern #181 (track it down, it's the good stuff), but added a bit more of the Joe Staton cartoon look in the pixel version. I drew the line art on the same sheet as Gil Kane pose/Staton build Goldface.

Here's the sprite display of the non-Earth Green Lanterns. Arisia and Kilowog are 2021 sprites, everyone else was made this year. Tomar-Re has an update of some separate heads I drew in '07 and shared for a MUGEN project. Katma uses a base I didn't get to reuse for more GL's... yet.

2017: someone on Twitter (can't remember who) said something about a "Mr. Yodel" so I drew the first thing that popped into my head Yoda in a Mr. Spock uniform on the Price is Right's Cliffhangers game (aka Yodelly Guy game). 2026: TPiR's Sept. 2026's Trek-themed ep had Spock in Cliffhangers.

I'm irritated by the "let's make the internet round" thing for a lot of reasons, and one of them is that I made a 100x100 pixel set-up in my image generator so people could make their own avatars. Removed it after basically every site started using circle avatars.

As great as this Jada Toys E.Honda looks in all the promo pics, you've got to see it in person. The yelling head is like seeing the SSFII portrait in 3D and the 100 Hand effect might be my favorite effect piece in the line.

Glad I had a second shot at getting one of these. Prowl was the first Autobot car I had as a kid, followed by Sideswipe. I like it a lot, but I can't believe I'll have to get 3rd party shoulder missile launchers.

Quite a few people figured this out YEARS ago, but there was no proof. If you didn't interact (yell at with replies, dunk RT, etc.) with posts you didn't like, your "For Me" page wasn't filled with more posts you didn't like. A system just sees you interacting with posts and thinks you want more.

When a user on X sees a post that makes them mad — like a press release from a politician from a political party they don’t like — sometimes they’ll fight about the post in the replies. It doesn’t matter who you follow or what your stated values are, X reads replying as engagement and will send more of the infuriating posts the user’s way.

Gonna clear this up right now: my 3D toy aisles aren't done with AI. I'm using hand-made pixel art + an old version of Blender. I have no interest in using AI. Everything about it is bullcrap, from the way they got the data to the way data centers harm the communities they're in.

A lot of tutorials will tell you to just add a blurry version of a main color for a glow's halo, but shift that Hue a little bit and see how it looks.

I just found a folder of random pixel work I was helping with around 12 years ago, and I remember doing almost none of it. But this was me trying to explain leg movement in an idle stance instead of doing the "growing and shrinking lower leg" thing. I still don't know how to explain it verbally.

Got the other two jets in now. Prowl, Sideswipe, Hound, and Mirage are in the order I got them in as a kid and Jazz is last because I was never got one then (cue sitcom audience "AWWWWwww..." track). The 2D version proved removing the 1px spaces does let 6 fit, so I'm doing that in 3D now.

Got these two due to that sale going on with WalMart. I wanted Werewolf by Night Jack Russel, but only got Iron Man mk 72 for the Build-a-Figure parts. Buying IM m72 on sale was cheaper than the BaF part itself on eBay, it's ridiculous.
