finished this series yesterday. it was sooo good. the second book was my favorite. the couple from the second book kind of reminded me of ed and stede a bit. also rachel gillig is ruthless, had me ugly sobbing. it was good.

& she’s done! 🥰 i wanted to stick to the original as much as possible, but we thinned the line work a bit & added some shading. against artist advice & wishes, i placed it v similar to ed’s placement (just on my left arm) so the dagger tip does distort a little. i love it. #ofmd #edteach #ofmdtattoo

let's try this again. i have v little motivation for anything these days. opened one of my docs this morning &--i miss writing. i miss my boys. i miss being a person. here's a little clip from do you picture me like i picture you bc it's one of my favorite things i've written. #ofmdfic #gentlebeard

He thought back to earlier in the day, him and Stede standing in the main wardrobe as they looked for their party outfits. Stede was shirtless and had his back to Ed, swiping through the various racks of clothing. He had seen Stede with his shirt off before, but this was his first opportunity to really appreciate the sight. The man was a solid rectangle of deceptive strength and dignified softness all rolled into one.

His broad back rippled with each movement, watching the muscles stretch and roll like the waves of the ocean as he continued his search for Ed's Perfect Outfit. His smooth, creamy pale skin dotted with constellations of freckles that Ed itched to trace and map and name. It took much more effort than Ed was willing to admit to not reach out and do it anyway.

Getting dressed together was probably one of the most intimate moments he'd ever had with another person. Ever. It had been kind of heady—and weirdly erotic—yet tender and innocent all the same. They had been standing way closer than was absolutely necessary. Close enough he could make out the green and gold peaks and valleys in Stede's irises. Close enough to see his pupils dilate as he adjusted Ed's cravat one last time before stepping back to take in the full view.

"Exquisite."

The word escaped on a soft exhale, it was barely audible under the breath itself Ed thought he'd imagined it. His face flamed hot at the compliment and Stede fixed him with a smile brighter than the sun before holding out his hand. And what was Ed to do but take the sweetest offer ever presented to him?
