What’s the point of writing anymore? If some mediocrity craps out an AI-generated novel and sells it, what’s the point of sacrificing time and energy improving your writing through discipline and skill? When the AI slop sells better than a novel that took the writer time to write, why bother?

What fights the self-doubt, the self-loathing, the impostor syndrome nibbling at your soul every time you write? The absolute sheer terror that your work might not be that bad. There’s a possibility - no matter how small - that a reader will like your stories. Keep that faith. Keep writing.
