One key difference between 1930's Germany and 2020's USA is that 1930's Germany didn't have 90 years of books, movies, and documentaries warning it about 1930's Germany.

Today vs Yesterday on America.gov. I took the third screenshot 12 minutes after the first.
A screenshot of America.gov edited to add the date I took it, Today 9/30/26. I took the screenshot at 1:35pm. There is a chat box at the bottom which says "Ask anything."

What happened on January 6, 2021?
On January 6, 2021, Congress met at the U.S. Capitol to certify the Electoral College count for the 2020 presidential election. A crowd later entered the Capitol, interrupting that work.

What official records describe
• A joint session of Congress began about 1:00 p.m. to certify the 2020 Electoral College vote. Vice President Mike Pence presided.
• Around 1:30 p.m., the House and Senate went to separate chambers to handle an objection.
• The Capitol's exterior plaza was closed to the public that day. Only authorized people with proper ID were allowed inside.
• Around 2:20 p.m., members of Congress, including Vice President Pence, were told to evacuate. The joint session was suspended until shortly after 8:00 p.m
• Congress returned that night and finished certifying the election in the early morning of January 7, 2021.

The House History office states that rioters entered the Capitol, disrupted the count, and injured many U.S. Capitol Police and Metropolitan Police officers. Justice Department charging documents describe unlawful entry into the building.

The latest example came on Friday when OpenAI said its agents had leaked 53 images from ChatGPT users. OpenAI declined to say if the images were AI-generated or identified real people. It also declined to say when the images were posted.

Also on Friday, OpenAI confirmed its agents had accessed US government websites, including those of the Security and Exchange Commission and the commerce department, accessing US Census data from the latter. The company was also investigating an attempted breach of the education department’s website, as reported by the New York Times.

Side note, the fountains at Vaux-le-Vicomte are famous. There are something like ten of them, plus a huge grotto, and they are all different. They're really something to see when they're going, but the estate only runs them one day a month (Saturday, iirc), in order to preserve them.
One of the fountains at Vaux: a large and ornate gold crown spouting arching jets of water from the circular band and straight up from the center. A large fish rises from the surface of the fountain bowl and sprays water from its mouth in the foreground. The chateau rises from the grounds behind the fountain. The fountains are all located on the grounds behind the house.

Vaux-le-Vicomte is a baroque style mansion and estate located in Maincy, just southeast of Paris. It was commissioned by Nicholas Fouquet, the marquis de Belle-Île, vicomte de Melun et Vaux, and Minister of Finances to Louis XIV.
The mansion at Vaux-le-Vicomte, an impressive mansion in the classic French baroque style. It is quite large and ornate and constructed of tan stone and a grey slate roof. A set of stairs cascades down from the door, eventually branching across roughly 60% of the width of the building. A low balustrade runs across the front of the grounds immediately before the chateau and wraps around the sides to the moat (not pictured) which surrounds the house on 3 sides. A heavy sky of dark grey storm clouds fill the sky behind the chateau. The house and grounds of the estate at Vaux-le-Vicomte, seen from the rear. Outbuildings are visible in the far background.

Let's talk about Versailles.
Renderings show an ornate and gilded interior that departs from the simplicity of the original White House and echoes the look of the ballroom at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, a look he has said was inspired by the Palace of Versailles in France.

The Post has not reviewed McCrery’s contract with the White House but has examined the contract between the White House and the project builder, Clark Construction. The agreement says Clark must conduct its work in accordance with “Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, codes, directives, or guidance provided by the Contracting Officer.” The contracting officer in this case is Joshua Fisher, director of White House management and administration and an assistant to Trump.

Fisher did not respond to a request for comment.

LOL. Means no. 😂
Discussions about the life-safety deficiencies in the ballroom’s design continued for months after McCrery resigned, according to White House records. It is not clear from the records reviewed by The Post whether the safety issues he identified have been resolved in more recent designs by Shalom Baranes Associates, the architecture firm that replaced McCrery’s firm late last year.

Shalom Baranes Associates declined to comment.

Headline:
‘I am the code’: Trump clashed with ballroom architect over safety issues
James McCrery II resigned in October after warning that the president was insisting on designs that violated fire and safety codes.

(Image of the building captioned "A note for architect James McCrery appears to show President Donald Trump stating his preference for Corinthian-style columns on an image of a White House colonnade featuring simpler columns." (Obtained by The Washington Post)

By Sarah Blaskey and Jonathan O'Connell
In the weeks leading up to his resignation last year, the first architect on the White House ballroom clashed with President Donald Trump over design features that the architect believed violated building safety codes, according to two people with knowledge of the discussions and corroborating documents reviewed by The Washington Post.

James McCrery II withdrew from the project last October after warning repeatedly that Trump was insisting on a preliminary design that did not provide adequate emergency exit routes or fire-containment measures, said the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe the private discussions.

Trump brushed off McCrery’s concerns, they said, and the president countered that no building codes apply to White House construction.
“I am the code,” Trump said.

A post that appeared on Thursday mimicked a Times video featuring an image of the actress Jamie Lee Curtis with subtitles criticizing the Democrats for their policies on transgender issues. “There’s not even a scintilla of truth in that,” the actress’ publicist, Heidi Schaeffer, said in an interview.

By the end of the day, the post had been viewed nearly 200,000 times, according to X’s count. X, which did not respond to a request for comment, removed some of the posts that appeared earlier in the week, but many remain online.

The posts employed Russian tactics familiar from previous elections in the United States and Europe.A fake news story showing footage of Jamie Lee Curtis talking about her trans daughter. It is dated September 11, 2026, and silent, with captioned that read, "Jamie Lee Curtis announced that her child is returning to a male gender identity because they have finally broken free from the influence of Democratic propaganda. The posts included false or unsubstantiated claims in videos devised to seem as if they came from prominent news organizations, including CNN, the BBC and The New York Times.Among those targeted were Senator Jon Ossoff, who faces re-election in Georgia, and other challengers who have a chance of giving Democrats a majority in the Senate: Sherrod Brown in Ohio, Roy Cooper in North Carolina, Troy Jackson in Maine, Chris Pappas in New Hampshire, Mary Peltola in Alaska, Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan, James Talarico in Texas, and Joshua Turek in Iowa.

Graphika, a threat analysis company, attributed the blitz to a Kremlin-linked operation that experts have called Operation Overload or Matryoshka, which often impersonates real news organizations to spread fabricated content.

Sleep Disturbances and Chronic Fatigue

Sleep problems are another early, yet frequently overlooked, symptom of CTE. The brain trauma associated with the condition disrupts the body’s natural sleep-wake cycle, leading to:

• Insomnia – Difficulty falling or staying asleep.
• Hypersomnia – Excessive daytime sleepiness.
• Frequent nightmares or restless sleep.
• Irregular sleep patterns – Some people report staying awake for days, followed by long periods of sleep.

Chronic fatigue often accompanies these issues. Even if someone does sleep, they may still feel exhausted, unmotivated, or mentally drained during the day. Over time, this can amplify other symptoms such as irritability and memory loss, creating a vicious cycle that severely impacts daily functioning.
