Most of the time, especially in games that have heavy elemental impacts other elements are given to different classes so that the mage can't just hit everyone's weaknesses but yeah kinda sucks. Those tend not to have an "arcane" element either; or if they do it's non-elemental.

I don't see it as really replacing physical sewing, if anything I think it helps foster an interest in the craft as it lets people get their feet wet. I've seen several people who do sew say they like it to get inspiration and test looks.

(cw medical) So good news: I didn't make much of a fuss about it at the time but I had a surgery over the summer to deal with a hydrocele (basically your body decides to store fluid in the sack between your testicle and scrotum). It took a while to heal right but now fox balls are back to normal.

It is not an exaggeration to say that the furry community as it exists today would not exist were it not for FA, especially in the early years, but it is still essential for the community and central to the jobs of thousands of artists. There is not really anything ready to replace it if we lose it.

I agree that criticism is important, but there's also good and bad criticism: good: thoughts and feelings about things that could be improved or potentially done in a way you see as better Bad: making an issue of something either for pessimism or personal gain/clout Way too much bad criticism lately

I have many fond memories tied to going to midnight releases, but yeah the whole process as a concept kind of sucked, as did the mandatory pre-order thing. The biggest things we lost since then were that microtransactions were extremely uncommon, and games were finished complete products.

There's something kind of primal to needing to feel like you can directly impact the character actions. Just about everyone will frequently jump or roll or whatever frequently even if it doesn't do anything. Tbh I often feel pretty weird if a game doesn't have something like that.

Tears of the kingdom really doesn't get enough respect for its soundtrack. Most of the songs are not as melodic as other Zelda titles but it has absolutely amazing emotional climaxes, like that one part of the colgera boss fight where they suddenly whip out the rito village riff.

Everyone is going to wind up with different brightness and tints. However lots of phones have somewhat standardized color and contrast, so looking at it on your phone is about as close as you can get to "normal" color without using one of those monitor calibration tools.

It's not a new problem. You've seen the "it's a top song so it gets played and bought more because it's a top song" self-reinforcing effect as long as there has been radio, and record charts. Algorithm and stuff like top playlists do magnify it a but it does better reflect actual play time better.
