Composer/illustrator/game developer. I helped make Club Penguin. I hope you will bear with a little of my foolishness, but you are already doing that. 2 Cor 11:1 www.screenhog.com

I'm starting something new on January 1st. (Not a New Year's Resolution, just a different kind of YouTube video for me.)

One of my less familiar original characters interacting with a childhood version of himself, who is staring at a floating hat for some reason.

And then days 9-12: #inktober #inktober2025

Day 9 - "Heavy": It's "Jar Jar Sphinx", the Egyptian sphinx with Jar Jar Binks' head

Day 10 - "Sweep": Chimney sweeps from Mary Poppins in a choreographed dance

Day 11 - "Sting": a shaded scorpion

Day 12 - "Shredded": Shredder, the villain from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, is shredding documents while saying "Those pesky turtles will never find out about my massive TAX FRAUD!"

I have been doing these every day, honest! I just haven't been uploading. Here are the next four:

Day 5 - "Deer": a heavy black and white-shaded male deer head

Day 6 - "Pierce": a shaded pencil "piercing" through the paper it was drawn on

Day 7 - "Starfish": a fish parent telling their child to go to bed because the starfish are out

Day 8 - "Reckless": a monster of some kind driving backwards tilted on two wheels.

I've been doing Inktober this year. Let's see if I actually manage to do all of the days. Here are the first four: #inktober #inktober2025

1 - MUSTACHE: a wizard with no beard but a ridiculously long mustache

2 - WEAVE: a failed knitting project on two knitting needles, with a stickman unimpressed, saying "This is not a scarf"

3 - CROWN: Prince John putting on his crown from Disney's Robin Hood (1973)

4 - MURKY: Pointillism clouds of murk and dust

Two protesters. One looks angrily at the other, who has a sign that says "I'm not protesting, I just like to hold up signs"

So, I knew climate change was a problem, but I didn't expect the climate to fight back by eating the moon.

A large cloud that looks vaguely look a mouth with a half moon within its "jaws".

Here's a video overview of the project, in case you wanted to watch it from the comfort of BlueSky instead of the Kickstarter page itself. :)

So, I gotta get this off my chest: I really liked Clippy. It was relatively helpful with tips, and all of its little animations were the best. (I encountered Clippy in Microsoft Word before ever being on the Internet, so I had no idea that I was supposed to despise it.)

Remarkably, the author of this article has forgotten to mention "COMMUNICATING WITH ANOTHER HUMAN BEING" as one of the ChatGPT alternatives.

It's been a long time since I actually worked on a short film.

A town created of low-poly 3D models within the Unity game engine.

Caption: This looks like a really huge concert until you realize it's a cotton harvester at night.

I gotta say... it really does. The lights on the harvester create backlighting on the cotton, which looks like everyone's heads and hair.

The Canadian flag turn 60 years old today. I gotta say, I've always liked it. (Well, that's not true. Drawing it in elementary school was a pain. You ever try drawing a good looking maple leaf? It's surprisingly hard!)

I'm sometimes asked what I'm up to nowadays, and one of the things I've been working on is this! Meet Lily, one of the many characters that I've been animating for an upcoming game made by a small team of indie game devs. Here are a bunch of Lily's emotional states for the cutscenes: #madewithspine

Coming soon...

A penguin in standing sideways in... some kind of unknown room?

So, I should probably prove that this is actually me. With that in mind... ...I've started working on another Club Penguin Youtube video! And it's about a topic that I've been asked a lot!

Me beginning to edit a new YouTube video about "10 Things I Wanted in Club Penguin".
