Any one else create an app to teach themself something? That’s me with Korean! I wanted an app that teaches me in the way my brain works with a fun competitive twist on top! #indiedev #languagelearning #indiegame

My first iOS app is live! DuelLingo: Korean learning, but it’s a fighting game. 7-round duels, HP bars, combos land crits, ranked ladder from Tin to Diamond. Miss a word and it comes back in a teach-first drill after the match. you actually learn the ones you blew. #indiedev #indiedeveloper

The iPhone Air has been great for me. Phone puts a smile on my face each time I take it out of my pocket.

So I was a hater of this thing for a long time. But out of boredom I decided to give it another go while playing the division 2 and I think I might be sort of coming around on it? I feel very precise now with my aim?

Oh really even on the paid tier? I can’t see any of them actually, specifically on the paid tier through Spotify.

I still find it absolutely bonkers that I technically have my own startup now with @winhanced.bsky.social! What started as a winter design project, has grown into something that a few thousand people use 🙂

Yo! I think I just found the strength training app that works best for me! I am an advanced lifter, but I still love the convenience of not having to plan my workouts and the social aspect that comes with lifting!

While I patiently wait for access to the @flashes.blue beta I downloaded Skeets for the first time, and wow I love the visual language of the app! I am a sucker for apps that use IOS guidelines with their own added flair!

@gameovergreggy.bsky.social I just got done listening to the latest Gamescast, and recently you all have been having conversations around what your perfect handheld OS would be. I’d love to share/ have a conversation with you on the app that my team is currently building for gaming handhelds.

Wrapped up designs for the in-game overlay’s controller remapping functionality for A Better Windows Handheld! The pace at which the app is coming together in frankly insane! #BuildInPublic

Library filters persisting example

Working through some more designs for “A Better Windows Handheld” this is the intended library navigation look, feel, and sound. Not sure how I feel about the library filters persisting or not in the second video?

@bob.thewulffden.com Hey! I recently got an Ally X, and I went down a rabbit hole on your channel with your Bazzite and Playnite videos 😅 Just wanted you to know that partially inspired me to start-up a new project to try and make the Windows Handeld gaming experience better 😀!

Joseph Rizzo @screenbite.bsky.social · 05/01/2025

So small update with my little handheld concept, it’s not so much a concept anymore! Decided to make it a real thing! I created a Discord to keep track of the project and I have had a few devs helping out with the build now! Feel free to join to help make it a reality or even just to keep tabs!

Been doing some more tinkering with my better windows handheld concept. Here is my updated taskbar overlay integration! thoughts? #ROGAlly #WindowsHandheld #UXDesign

110 1

Joseph Rizzo @screenbite.bsky.social · 30/12/2024

One of the best things about Windows 11 is the taskbar, but it could function better on a handheld to both account for touch screens and controller navigation.

Joseph Rizzo @screenbite.bsky.social · 30/12/2024

What if on Windows handhelds like the ROG Ally X SteamOS and Windows 11 had a baby?

Joseph Rizzo @screenbite.bsky.social · 30/12/2024

So for Christmas my incredible wife bought me an ROG Ally X! I ended up selling my OLED limited edition steam deck to my brother-in-law I hope I don’t end up regretting that decision…. So far I am enjoying the switch!

For Day 5 of my @kindafunnyvids.bsky.social side project, I decided to take a break from designing and put on my dev hat to see how buildable my concept is. I made some pretty great headway, Schedule dynamically populates, via a Json file, which is so cool! Now i need a break 😅

Day 4 of my @kindafunnyvids.bsky.social project complete. Home page is pretty much done! I still need to finish the footer and I might make some tweaks overall, but I really love how it came out!

Day 3 wrapped up for my little side project. Didn't get a ton done today, but I did wrap-up my Weekly schedule section! Still mid-fi so no color and final typeface hasn't been chosen yet.

Getting started on my holiday "just for fun" design project. Taking my favorite podcasting group @kindafunnyvids.bsky.social and creating what it would be like if their website acted as a hub for all their content similar to an IGN or Verge.

Craft might legit be one of the best apps I ever decided to put effort into! It just works for my brain. Like previous I never understood people who live out of a notes app I am a reminders and Todos kind of guy. But Craft is just so flexible and enjoyable to use!

Don’t get me wrong. Spotify’s UX is not terrible especially considering that sheer amount of stuff they have crammed into it. But I do feel that a lot of the interface and overall navigation can be cleaned up to cut down on cognitive load

Do we think iOS will ever see a full visual refresh like from iOS 6 to iOS7 ever again? I feel like full visual refreshes just dont happen anymore even on the Android side 😔
