Definitely a bit more dated visually than I was expecting. Mostly fun so far, at least, though it’s funny the game keeps prompting me to talk to Carth only for him to get really guarded about it.

Decided to follow up on my previous efforts at making battlemaps for the 3rd Party Lancer module #InGoldenFlame . That map of floating debris above a city was the most difficult map I've ever worked on, in that Dungeondraft slowed to a fucking crawl trying to edit it.

Decided to spend my morning designing combat maps for #InGoldenFlame 's first mission. I'm particularly pleased with the bays in the hangar.

A TTRPG combat map. The map consists of the void of space, where huge amounts of scrap and rock have been dumped haphazardly as space debris to impede movement across the area.

Decided to work on an urban holdout Lancer map. I think I'm happy with how this turned out.

In the top left and right are numerous shops, the bottom left features some kind of scrapyard, and the bottom right appears to be a local church. Much of the area has been bombed, and numerous buildings and trees are on fire and producing smoke. Cars are strewn haphazardly throughout the street.

This was the map btw. The gap where the upper left demolished house is was blocked for 90% of the session by the Aegis' wall, leaving only the big patches of dangerous terrain as a route. Everyone was trapped in the back gardens of the townhouses all game.

Several buildings are collapsed or on fire, and a tanker truck has spilled oil into one of the intersections, which has also been lit on fire. A spaceship has crashed into the ground, partly demolishing one house. The fires have created several chokepoints, forcing a roundabout route from one end to the other.

Actually, since I've been thinking about Margit again, I figured I'd share this token I comm'd from @snipertoaster.bsky.social a while back of her Tagetes, The Inevitable!

A predominantly purple bipedal mech with armored shoulder pauldrons, a tall, shako-like head with a feathered plume, and a laser rifle with an archaic aesthetic reminiscent of a musket. The entire mech hearkens to late 19th/early 20th century military uniforms in design. The mech also has a dark cape that hangs down behind it.

I don’t think I mentioned it but ever since I beat the Low Rank story I’ve kept my hunter Gunnhildr in either an eyepatch or face-covering armour. I like to think she lost an eye fighting Zoh Shia.

I've not had a chance to run it, but I really love Vex's In Golden Flame module for Lancer! So many fun NPCs, locations full of character and history, and it engages with a lot of Lancer lore in a cool way without pulling punches even at some of the nicer factions in the setting.

I also drew this really silly sketch of Kagero and Minami might look like. No one wins (Minami is supposed to be dehydrated in a puddle of melted ice but I made the sketch a little too small for proper details).

Don’t have a firm backstory but her name’s Kagero and she has the Scorch Release kekkei genkai! She’s nicknamed “Phantom” because she seems untouchable (a trick created by clever use of her heat abilities).

A woman with messy, dark hair tied back in a loose bun and a scar across the left side of her mouth. She wears a black, backless unitard with detached sleeves and a sash around the waist bearing a metal plaque with the sand village symbol on it. In one hand she holds a double-edged, guardless short-sword, whole in the other she generates an orb of heat. Smaller diagrams show that she wears a hooded cloak on missions and that her sword is made from a tungsten allow. Her name is Kagero, which is also written in kanji.
