I needed to add a feature to my dialogue system, but I wound up doing a total overhaul, spending the last week or so doing that. On the surface everything seemed fine, but after digging I didnt realize how much bad stuff was happening. Might do a devlog on it cause its been interesting.

#100OddCards #FlatcatFriday Red cards have effects that either target a single person or target everyone but the one person. All red cards are also Team-Up cards, which allow you to play two cards at once. It's useful, but with many effects going around things can get real weird!

Been working on this thing pretty much nonstop for the last two weeks. From nothing to a functioning scripting language, albeit with a modest feature set, I am pretty happy with how it went. Was challenging, but fun and very educational. Working towards that 100% coverage.😤

May as well post micro devlogs here, so here goes... I've been using Godot quite a bit for a... secret project... And one thing I really like about it is it has an embedded scripting language, GDScript. The syntax is easy and it has fairly intuitive interop with the native engine and by virtue, C#.

By the way I will be making a separate page for the game soon, this account will simply be for the musings of a game dev and random cat gifs. I would like to get back to posting updates on the game regularly. Last few years have been rough in that regard. Posted like 3 times in the past few years.

I had finally gotten my hands on a really nice GPU, but now a little over a year later it has already failed... I still have my GTX 650 which is more than enough for most stuff I do, so I guess I really can't complain. Oh well...
