This morning I invested some time to add "Animation Notifies" into the Spine2D @godotengine.org setup I made. So an animation can call a function on the game logic to synchronize removing a plant for example. Even after 26 years I'm still surprised how much impact the little things can have!

I've tweaked the quest system a bit. You won't receive the quest objectives until you talk to the characters and have completed the previous quest. And the characters have a small exclamation point above their heads when there's a new task.😊 #GameDev #IndieDev #Unity #CozyGames #SoloDev

That's exactly how I see it! Later on, I'd like to add that you have to remove any dirt from the water first. But right now I'm in the prototyping phase and working on my game after work. So, one step at a time for now. 😅

Thank you! I just tried out a simple crafting system. I'm not sure if I'll stick with a classic sprinkler system, like the ones in other farming games, or if I'd like to have an advanced irrigation system that's also connected to a water tank. I'd actually like to focus more on resource management.

Right now, it's just a test of the crafting system and the quest system. You also can't place items in the world yet, which would be essential for a farming game.

You can finally talk to other NPCs. When you inspect buildings or objects, B.I.T. leaves comments. There’s already a small character portrait for him in the dialogue system. Before I switched to URP, I hardly used any shaders, so everything worked great. 😊 Since I don't have that much experience yet, I can't really tell at the moment whether using soil tiles as scalable parent containers is the best approach. I guess the only way to find out is to experiment a lot. 😅
