To my understanding, this proposed development will add roughly 70 new units and can be built as of right. In the midst of a housing crisis that is a good new story. But we get this instead.

I don't really see 0% as radical. It's just pushing Sutcliffe campaign promises to their ridiculous conclusion. With no other legislated way to really raise meaningful revenue it is a promise to starve the City. But that has been the Waston/Sutcliffe promise for a while. Nothing new.

I used Bixi in Montreal this summer and it made the city so much more accessible. Robust bike share makes cities better and Ottawa needs to do it!

Please check out the campaign for bikeshare in Ottawa and sign on to their petition! It's a no brainer especially after seeing how successful bikeshare has been around the world. Having easy, reliable, and cheap access to a bike would be a huge quality of life improvement for residents!

It is unfortunate that even though the city staff running the study for Bank Street Bus Lanes agrees with us that bus lanes should be in effect longer, on weekends, should operate in both directions, and that they should be running on events is being stifled by a small minority of very loud voices.

Section of the city staff report for Bus Lanes on Bank Street that says "Ultimately, bus lane hours extending beyond these peak periods, and in the off-peak direction, are recommended, including during a greater number of Lansdowne events and on weekends."
