Filling a vacant constitutionally mandated seat at the highest level of government is a far cry from storming the capitol. If Obama had done it in 2016 we'd have a 5-4 supreme court right now. Sitting on our hands and waiting for the norms to prevail hasn't been working out so well recently.

Blocking a supreme court vacancy (by death) for more than a year wasn't a thing. Cancelling active elections to eliminate black districts wasn't a thing. Trying to assassinate the VP to stop the transfer of power wasn't a thing. How come only one party's afraid to do things that aren't things?

Dems should re-litigate 2004 in OH. There was actual election rigging occurring - 12 hour waits to vote, 25% voter purge in Cleveland, candidate switching on voting machines, Republicans soliciting vote-changing algorithms from programmers. It would be a fun contrast to "dems cheat cause they won".
