This appears to be an American hairless terrier, a breed derived from the rat terrier. My hairless Beatrice is part rat terrier!

Beatrice's new favorite thing is to perch herself on the pillow ABOVE MY HEAD while I lay reading, napping, or sleeping. Like everything about her (the peeing like a boy dog, the hairlessness, etc.) it's weird and adorable. 🤣🥰

My new dog's name is Beatrice (Bea for short), full name: Beatrice Arthur Blueberry Cheesecake. Named in remembrance of my last dog Dottie, who was Dorothy Zbornak at the rescue; because Bea's own shelter name was Bluetiful (ugh); and, of course, in honor of Ms. Arthur herself. And CHEESECAKE! 🤩😁
