Can anyone please endorse me to submit a preprint to arXiv q.bio.NC? If so I’ll send you the link.

Why are some reviewers so confidently nasty? Is it necessary to be like that?! Don’t they understand how much work goes into each manuscript and how damaging it can be for some people to read the vitriol? Or even consider that they might be wrong?!

Visceral signaling of post-ingestive malaise directs memory updating in Drosophila
Consolidation is a time when labile memories transition to a stable form. Malaise learning in Drosophila reveals consolidation to also permit memory updating. Flies taught to associate one of two odor...

The Janelia Atalanta plasmids provide a simple and efficient CRISPR/Cas9-mediated homology directed repair platform for Drosophila
Homology-directed repair (HDR) is a powerful tool for modifying genomes in precise ways to address many biological questions. Use of Clustered Regularly Interspersed Short Palindromic Repeats (CRISPR)...

Dopaminergic systems create reward seeking despite adverse consequences - Nature
In Drosophila, a subpopulation of reward-encoding dopaminergic neurons antagonizes punishment-encoding neurons and can override punishment or hunger cues in favour of reward-seeking behaviour.
