Great to be at the first meeting of the UK Statistics Assembly, jointly organised by the UK Statistics Authority and the @royalstatsoc.bsky.social. Big focus on how we get the best out of the UK’s official statistics. I’ll be facilitating a session on crime statistics this afternoon

Our annual poll! Our wreath filled with sprouts is in place. Is this a brilliant use for sprouts, or an absolute travesty? Vote now!

Anyone for apple crumble? Went for a day trip to Melrose yesterday and stumbled in their annual apple festival. Who knew there were so many varieties? And a delicious take away crumble!

That gutted feeling when you finish a jigsaw and discover there’s a piece missing. This one was a work of art for Susan - really difficult but now complete, except for the pesky missing piece!

Back home after a great week chairing this year’s @royalstatsoc.bsky.social conference in Brighton. Thanks for the conference board staff and delegates for putting on a great programme of talks, posters and social events. We had a record number of delegates! Some photos from the week
