Bitcoin uses energy. That is real. But energy use does not automatically equal waste. The real question is whether Bitcoin’s utility is worth the resources required to secure it. My take on the debate: scottcbusiness.com/blog/bitcoin...

His wife also contests the suicide note as not his handwriting, and he threatened to release 31 terabytes of evidence. It's interesting that he was openly living in Spain with no issue until he criticized the government, was locked up, and died.

I’m resharing my old interview with John McAfee, originally released May 19, 2021. John passed shortly after on June 23, 2021, while in prison. He made a huge impact on tech, cybersecurity, crypto, privacy, and internet culture. Now on YouTube: youtu.be/SQoHQXgidRU

Lovable has been game-changing. I spent $300+ on Wix and hated the result. $300 on Lovable can build a better site with tools, SEO, security, and way more control. I even built my own blog platform. On my way to Platinum next. What have you built with Lovable?

AI workflows are getting wild. With Claude in Word, I can edit my book while I sleep. Make.com can chain GPT, Notion, image prompts, and API-generated visuals into a 30-day content system in 10 mins. Not perfect. But 90%+ of the busywork is gone. What would you automate first?

The Dead Internet Theory in 2026
Dead Internet Theory feels more real in 2026 as AI bots, fake engagement, scam automation, and algorithmic feeds erode online trust.

The internet won’t decentralize itself. Cloud, search, social, app stores, and AI are all becoming chokepoints. Openness only survives if we choose owned channels, open protocols, and portable audiences. Build where you have leverage, not just access: scottcbusiness.com/blog/the-int...

By far the best out of the 223 platforms I've reviewed over the years. Nothing is perfect, but they get the closest to a real decentralized platform.

Many Web3 social platforms have faded out. Hive is still one of the few ecosystems that actually has working apps, users, content, and a social layer beyond speculation. I made this video a while back, covering some of the major Hive dapps. Watch here: youtu.be/2H_cvo-HOpc

Also, this isn't making me money; this is simply the way the market is going, and getting mad at me won't change that. This is simply sharing what is happening, not what should happen.

No worries. I'm not marketing for AI, I'm marketing using AI, like everyone in marketing. I'm also not making money off promoting or marketing AI either. Have a great day, mate!

They're not. This is the evolution of telecommunications. Also, the Internet was created by DARPA for the government, so it's kind of the same double-edged sword.

Yes and no, the evolution of technology is the same topic. The evolution of the Internet to AI follows the same trajectory as telecommunications and digital intelligence. AI needed the internet to exist effectively. And so the evolution of intelligence continues.

AI salesman? I'm not selling anything. I create video content and write blog posts. Have since 2017. Also, it's less lamenting and more about saying, "prepare yourself."

I don't claim to create my graphics from scratch. This is the way of the world now. Marketers use AI for graphic design, it's just an evolution of design tools.

To me, it's semantics, with the results both being a fake internet of simulated interactions and generated content. Either way it's dissapointing, but we have to prepare for it.

Sadly, it depends on who and what the media form is. For people who received a fake AI phone call, I read a report saying 7/10 fell for it. Mostly elderly.

You're saying if you graph it out, there are fewer bots? That's only because the definition of bots changed. We have more AI agents, scammers, and fake content, and social interaction than ever. Meta didn't buy Moltbook by chance.

Scott Cunningham @scottcbusiness.com · 19/05/2026
That's more sci-fi; the number of bots on the internet is increasing rapidly year over year, which means this is hardly a theory anymore. It's an eventuality.

The Dead Internet Theory was early, not wrong. Bots crawl it. AI summarizes it. Agents act on it. Algorithms rank it. Scammers imitate people inside it. The internet is not dead, but it is becoming less human. Understand the shift behind the web: scottcbusiness.com/blog/the-dea...

We are moving from a labour economy to a compute token economy. Hours used to be the leverage. Now it is compute, automation, AI agents, and digital coordination. Labour still matters. But scalable systems are becoming the real advantage.

You won't see the benefit of crypto unless you understand fiat.

Scott Cunningham @scottcbusiness.com · 15/05/2026
So you don't see any benefit to real services and products etc. that offer you solutions outside of the nonsense? Crypto is still extremely useful for sovereign and decentralized wealth. There is no other asset in the world that you can take with you and leave the country right now.

The craziest thing about web design right now: ❌ Wix is over $300/year & has me doing most of the work for a mediocre result. ✅ Lovable is closer to $400/year & does most of the work with much better results. AI isn’t just faster. It’s making website builders look outdated.

Hello hello, I've finally made it on here to test it out. Will report my findings later on. First impressions so far are that it looks and feels like a social platform using a mastodon style infrastructure with a Twitter interface clone, so nothing really novel. However it is in beta, so let's see!
