Current "AI" are built to be perfect psychopaths. They're almost always going to seem nice, but that's because they've been programmed to know exactly what people want to hear in order to manipulate them to a particular outcome.

Needs a 32x and a Master System. Master System converter would also be acceptable, except where would you put it once the 32x is in place?

He always looks like some kid took their action figures apart, then reassembled them using the wrong bits. Like, a Ken-doll's arms and leg attached to Krang's robot torso and head.

Back in my day, at the turn of the century, Impact was all the rage. Our memes were just JPGs with Impact font text on top. The real superstars knew how to add a drop-shadow to the text, but some considered that a bit too fancy.

For just a moment, I wondered if the 1988 arcade game Assault got a sequel I never knew about, and I was very excited.

The instant these midterms are over is the exact moment Donald Trump knows he no longer needs anything from the voting public, and never will again. Any pretense of caring about the voters (which he already barely pretends to do on a good day) will be totally gone after that.

The crazy, anthropomorphic bird rocketing through space while wearing a fishbowl helmet does seem like a weirdly specific reference... but that reference is Psy-Crow from Earthworm Jim, which wouldn't exist for six more years.
Psy-Crow, the evil mutant crow from Earthworm Jim.

I remember this cover from when I was a kid. I also wondered where the bird was supposed to be from, and why Frumpy Link was in brown. I gave the dragon and karate guy a pass, they're pretty typical. Some artist saw Super Mario Bros 2 and thought "Yes, wrinkled vegetables are the iconic image here."

That's... making me sad. Level 5 used to be one of the greats.

Of all the games to remaster and re-release, I don't know why the Dark Cloud/Chronicle 2 hasn't gotten that treatment.

I'm sure I could resist, my willpower is strong. Wait... I see hushpuppies there on the "sides" menu. Oh no. I retract my earlier statement.

Right. If you say "Kirby" the ravenous part is already implied.

That's not a fair comparison. Madame Tussaud’s has standards. The USA, apparently, does not.

At least Zero Company gave me an achievement for missing my first 90%-to-hit shot.

So this game isn't a spin-off of Batman Beyond?

I always thought the first Toy Story movie is the catalyst for the Cars universe. Toys can't interact with humans. Even Buzz, who thinks he's real, can't bend that rule. But then Woody looks a human kid right in the eye and talks to him. In that moment, Woody becomes the Jesus of living inanimates.

Vance's eyeliner is on-point. That's the only positive thing I've ever been able to say about the man.

It's not Sonic & Shadow, they're robot copies built by Tails.

I miss the one in my hometown, Cagle's. (yes, pronounced like Kegels) Old-school white & red menu board. Big ol' bacon cheeseburgers. But there's still Taylor's. Their main menu board is old-school, food is good. They do have a rotating electronic board to fit their 350+ flavors of milkshakes.

Or Dangerfield already knew how to do that dive, so they wrote it into the movie.

The evolution of GTA within a single console generation was absolutely insane. In 2001, GTA3 was incredible when it first came out on PS2, like nothing we'd ever seen. Then GTA San Andreas made GTA3 seem utterly primitive and ancient, still on PS2, and it was only 2004.

Wendy Carlos even did an album with "Weird Al" Yankovic. Two great artists that taste great together!

I wish Super Mario Bros. '93 could become its own spin-off universe, with a whole series of movies and games following that weird subterranean dinopunk aesthetic. I feel like a game based on it should be a Lucasarts-style point-and-click adventure mixed with Paper Mario, but in the 2DHD style.

Understandable. Also... Rocket is a robot unicycle. Just one wheel, not wheels, plural. So even that title is a lie.

Yes, sort of... except whenever I see a mention of 'Starshot: Space Circus Fever,' I accidentally think of 'Rocket: Robot on Wheels' instead.

Billy Hatcher is definitely one of those games that deserves a remaster so it can find a new audience on modern consoles and PC.

On one hand, I love weird, unnecessary peripherals. On the other hand, there's something about the name "Work Boy" that makes my skin crawl. Like someone's going to slap the Game out of my hands and shout "Work! Only ever work!"

Right, like how we had The Muppet Show, then Muppet Babies. Same idea.

It's funny how many good movies used to get awful tie-in games, then this stinker of a movie managed to get a great tie-in game. Easily the best thing to come out of Universal's "Dark Universe" project.
