Had an incredible communal cinema experience at Sinners in IMAX 70mm last night. The theater was nearly full (at a 1am showing!), the crowd was so responsive & reactive in a way that added to the experience, it was electric in there! And we didn’t have to trash the theater to have a great time 😉

Wow the Companion rewatch is exceptional! Honestly almost as thrilling as the first time I saw it completely unspoiled. The writing is so clever with so much is hiding right in plain sight. And Sophie Thatcher is tremendous! Gunna be one of my year end faves for sure.

Companion is so fun! A solid thriller that kept me guessing. Avoided the recent spoilery trailer, but watched it after & it’s just so baffling. Like, have a little creativity. You don’t need to spoil the fun surprises of the film in order to make the movie marketable. Very dumb, but loved the film!

During the pandemic, I was a part of a virtual production of The Rocky Horror Show with a bunch of “strangers” online, so this really hit for me. Grand Theft Hamlet is an inventive, delightful documentary about the power art and community. Just wonderful!

Honestly shocked that my most anticipated album of the year is Linkin Park’s comeback release. Hybrid Theory was huge for me in 2000, the first time I heard blended genres & it blew my mind. Those first 2 records were essential, but then I kinda fell off listening until now. Stoked for this new era!
