Looking for an alternative to the recently closed pollcode.com. It's just not out there :(. They all make these giant things, tons of spacing. pollcode was great: use your own HTML, they handle the buttons. Might have to buy some PHP and be my own third party lol. xD

Sounds good! And I would definitely recommend Neocities as an option! I've been on there for years and they've been very reliable.

My Plant app actually gets some visits/plays! And since the OG was something I rushed together in a night XD, I'm making a more comprehensive-ish version in Odin/Karl2D, with 30 days narrator, changing backgrounds, Windows/Linux versions available+more. Progress is good, having a blast making it!

Ohhh that's nifty! If you open FireFox Dev Tools when viewing a local HTML file, you can use firefox.localhost (enabling fetch()/xmlHttpRequest() - i think). Handy for building web apps! #webdev #firefox #neocities

Perhaps embedding each vid on a page on your own site is an option? You can do whatever you want with your own webpages (might be able to find an ad network or "your ad here")! Idk how effective this would be. My own video web pages get (a few) visits from search engines. It's an idea! 😁

@cachyos.org is awesome! Been on Windows for, well, my entire life. Tried a few Linux distros over the years... always problems. Until Cachy. Everything just works. My dev, office, music, web browsing... and most importantly Command & Conquer Remastered Collection, Sun and Wars LOL. 10/10 OS.

Actually, I'm not so sure just yet. The polls are rather giant fonts and a lotta spacing. xD I've requested the option to be able to make them more compact on X. If no luck, I think I might end up just buying some PHP hosting and making my own poll widget lol.
