We need to stop appealing to the GOP's sense of morality, shame, or dignity. They have none. They aren't going to do the right things because they are right or even lawful. They do NOT CARE about the suffering of people they see as below themselves. Time to take another approach.

They are dismantling the structures of our government at all federal levels. Not to streamline or become efficient, but to exert total control. Next up, the CIA and Federal Reserve. Look for civil unrest this summer, leading to a show of force from the WH to solidify power.

No one's blaming Democrats for causing this crisis, but yes, many of them are failing to meet this moment. One Democratic senator could bring the chamber to a halt. House Dems can go to fed agencies being gutted by Musk with cameras in tow. Governors can push back. State AGs can bring lawsuits.

The TV news media sphere is dominated by far right Fox News. There is an attempt for the oligarchy to take over TikTok, adding to their takeover of X and Meta. They are dominating the media spaces. This needs to anger more people. It is a very scary situation right now.

I have struggled with how to respond to Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook's descent into toxic masculinity and Neo-Nazi madness. While I have thought about quitting Facebook, I find great value in the connections and friends I have here, and it doesn't seem fair that I should lose that 1/4

I'm just tired. How is it that the dumbest, most ignorant among us get their voices elevated?

I feel like they had a meeting and decided “we have to be dumber.”

If you’re afraid that books might change someone’s thinking, you’re not afraid of books, you’re afraid of thinking.

If it still seems absolutely insane to you that trump, an adjudicated rapist and convicted felon who tried to overturn the result of the previous election, is going back to the White House, that's a good sign. It means your brain is still working, and you haven't normalized it. IT IS NOT NORMAL.
