Another day of being petty with the government. Council tax sent me a SUMMONS, EVEN THOUGH THEY OWE ME 80 QUID, and they still haven’t processed our change of address (6 months now). Of course I did a subject access request, amen GDPR. If you are going to stress me, I’ll stress you.

Nothing screams I made you and you are meant to be mine or an extension of myself then “hunt you down like a bloodhound when needed” and “you’ll never find someone who loves…You mora than I do”. Any moms here that want to maybe give me a new perspective or shed a light on this sign? I’m not 1 yet.

Just saw this advert and it gave me such an interesting insight into how parenting was perceived by the generation that raised mine (not my mom though cause of her undiagnosed autism lol). Nothing reassures me more of the type of mom I don’t want to be. You can show love in so many nicer ways.

A shop advert for a vintage aluminium wall sign saying “My promise to my children.
I am not your friend. I am your mom. I will stalk you, flip out on you, lecture you, drive you insane, be your worst nightmare, & hunt you down like a bloodhound when needed because I LOVE YOU! When you understand that, I will know you are a reasonable adult. You will never find someone who loves, prays, cares, and worries about you more than I do.”

Hey #GameDev, did you know that the Game Dev Feed is independently run and patron-supported? Bluesky provides the platform for you to view the feed, but I do the work to make it awesome, and I need your support. 🧵

Just saw this “childhood autism indicator” trend and I think mine wins. At age 8 I was recreating the Chernobyl power plant with Lego. Plus the hospital they got taken to. Weirdly my mom had zero questions and let me to my thing. I strongly suspect she is also autistic.

Please don’t judge me I have ADHD and no self control. This is the office vibe, I’m going with awkward ghibli 80’s cubicle.

A muted-toned keycap set laid out on a green background, with pastel shades of green yellow, and brown.

A green poster featuring a vintage computer monitor with the phrase “The work is mysterious and important” in white text above and below the monitor.

A minimalist cream-and-green poster titled “Defiant Jazz” in bold black text. Below the title is a retro-style image of two office workers mid-dance, referencing a scene from the show “Severance.” The design is clean and vintage with subtle typography and muted color blocking

Thank god for the sun and churrasco.

A woman with long red hair and a red gingham headscarf smiles while sitting outdoors in the sun. She wears matching red checkered clothing and dark sunglasses, with lush green trees and a wooden fence in the background under a clear blue sky.

A vibrant yellow patio table set with plates of grilled meat skewers, rice, bread, and sauces. There are bottles of beer and a bowl of sausages, with some utensils resting on finished plates.

The worst thing I could have possibly done today was to research retro keyboards. I now have entered the wonderfully expensive world of keycaps 🥹 And I already spent my treats allowance for the month hahahaha

A close-up of novelty keycaps shaped like retro Macintosh computers with miniature screens, each displaying a different pixel-style graphic (such as a smiley face, heart, and bar graph). The keycaps are installed on the number row of a mechanical keyboard

Since leaving War Studies I have no one to do predictions w/. So here we are: I was right about the fire in a weapons facilities (weapons going to Ukraine) in Germany being Russia’s sabotage. Gatwick, obvs the same. Spain and Portugal’s power grid? I bet 5 quid (I’m poor) Russia’s behind it.

What’s up with companies celebrating a 0.something improvement on a gap that’s over 20%? Yes I’m talking about the gender pay gap. If it was a real KPI, companies would be trying harder to cut the gap.
