The Chicago small-theater and comedy scene in the 1980s was amazing. I wonder how many nobodys I saw/met back then, who I don't remember, who went on to become giants. I "kind of" dated a girl who took me to a lot of small productions all over town.

I spent four hours sitting outside by the fire on a perfect 60 degree fall day while sipping a top-notch beer, relaxing with my feet up, and listening to birds and an acquaintance said I was wasting my time. It sucks to know someone is in their 50s and still hasn't figured out how to enjoy life.

I often tell the story of when we took a group trip to an Indians game in the early 1990s. We had a keg on the bus. We took it off the bus and hid it behind some bushes by the stadium. It was still there when we came out of the game. There were so few people we had no fear of it being stolen.
