Significant cuts following STFC prioritisation. UKRI have published the outcome of the ‘prioritisation’ process at the STFC to bring down projected costs to be in line with the STFC budget. The consequences will be significant cuts to some areas and facilities funded by the STFC.

Yesterday the Chancellor delivered the Budget. While there was no mention of R&D in the speech itself, there was recognition of the role of R&D in supporting the Government’s economic growth ambitions in the budget documents.
