I do not feel like posting this onto my vent account. These are my thoughts that i have written last night regarding recent events.

I didn't want to write this, however this was based on my experiences I had recently and I thought it would be a rather detailed explanation of what occurred and what my sentiments are.

Regarding recently I have seen a psychiatrist for a diagnosis I had been certain to have for a while, that diagnosis being BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder). While the result was expected as with my other diagnoses, here is what I felt about it and learned.

I suppose you could think that it's the equivalent to the stages of grief that I had felt, some of the stages rather. While there wasn't denial, there was anger in the sense that before I am even assigned a therapist I have to take medication, an idea I am not comfortable with and choose not to take out of personal comfort. This isn't against those who choose so, but it is disheartening that it feels as if I am entirely treatment resistant for my own decisions as an adult, and feel gaslit into the idea that my sentiments matter when it in all reality doesn't.

I had to bargain with the new reality and circumstances that what if people see me entirely different, this isn't just referring to the stigma behind this new reality, but what I am as a person. Let's say I left it with more confusion, anger and sadness internally speaking that it feels like no matter what is brought up it feels as if nothing could work in the end when I am trying as hard as I can to better myself as a person and had been for the longest time now. In the end I personally give up for the time being with these types of appointments in specific if it's only leaving me with the same results. Been to one, been to them all it seems.

In the end what have I learned?

This took a couple of epiphany moments after all of this and what I have accepted is that it doesn't change who I really am as a person. I shouldn't have to define myself with these internal struggles that I go through everyday. It's a learning experience. I shouldn't let conditions determine who I am as a person. What matters more moving foward is the unconditional support around me. I am still trying to improve as a person as I am aware I have flaws of my own that I need to work on. As for appointments, as I mentioned I give up temporarily to some capacity and will focus on myself moving on.

The moral of the story is as the quote goes... "Despite everything, it's still you." And I stick by it on a personal level. It's simple, but it's hard hitting.

I thank you all wholeheartedly for your unconditional support. It means a lot to me as a person.
