Steven D. Schroeder @schroederlaw.bsky.social · 08/10/2026It wasn’t even that long ago. In 1898 the Louisiana constitution caused black registration of voters in LA to drop from 130,344 in 1896 to 5,000 by 1900… and just 897 by 1940. 1160

Steven D. Schroeder @schroederlaw.bsky.social · 19/09/2026This is an outstanding post but there is so much more to say about this! I’d also note that high fossile fuel prices will cause a lot of short term pain but in theory should result in expansion of clean energy investment and consumer choices. But watch this administration fight that shift. 2832

Steven D. Schroeder @schroederlaw.bsky.social · 18/09/2026The thing is that the Iran war is an absolute disaster for our national security. It has harmed and will harm our security in so many ways. The gas prices and related inflation are really secondary. 000

Steven D. Schroeder @schroederlaw.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Yes. Biden’s popularity was just under 40% six months before the 2024 election, essentially sinking any chances of victory. There were plenty of policy successes, but abysmal communication. Bill Clinton and Mamdani should be the model going forward, not Obama, for communications once in office. 071

Steven D. Schroeder @schroederlaw.bsky.social · 09/09/2026I think that the issue is that from March 2020 to summer 2021 people spent a lot less and accumulated a lot of savings, in part from Gov't stimulus. Then in late 2021-2022 prices went up, and people went from feeling good about their personal financial situation to distressed about costs. 010
